(sorry, couldn't help myself )
haha
I might not be very good at the rape part either.

…...........if it could be proved beyond any shadow of doubt no god or afterlife exist, when you die you are no more?
I would be relieved that once my life is over that is it, end of story. I am of the opinion that is the case, but of course there is the outside possibility I am wrong.
I have asked this question on forums before, often the reaction from devout believers is that god/afterlife exist and there is no other possibility.
Over to you.
An awesome reply, and to be fair and honest, I am probably embellishing, or my memory is biased. I swear I have so often see an initial reply (again, I'm talking about first trying this tack, not that they repeatedly refuse to answer) that "it doesn't matter, because God exists" that I can't remember if in there any time I've seen it asked was some actual response to the question posed outright - but again, could be my bias ignoring those replies and honing in on all the people unwilling to respond.I find that hard to believe, but if it is so let me be the first theist of your acquaintance to answer thus - I would probably connect with the Secular Humanistic Judaism movement and then go on with the business of living my life.
If that works for you fine, it doesn't for me.

I have some news:Since I think that everything that exists is God manifest, for there to be no God means that the universe does not exist. So if nothing exists then nothing exists including the proof that nothing exists.
You're a Christian right? If God doesn't exist would that take away from the power of the cross? What does the cross mean to you?I'd lose all interest in religion as no afterlife and no God would make it all false, and if it was all false then I wouldn't be interested in it

No difference.
Even when i was a strong believer(in God), I never even considered the idea of an afterlife.
My father used to verbally scold me for never thinking about the future. The present fills my time.

What does the cross mean to me?
I recognise that it is primarily the symbol of Christianity
But to me it signifies Christ's sacrifice (on the cross) and the prospect of eternal life and the existence of a concerned and personal God etc.
i'd visit the dairy product section. Knowing now one didnt exist after i died.i would drink and reflect on that.then go bowling…...........if it could be proved beyond any shadow of doubt no god or afterlife exist, when you die you are no more?

That sound very human of that god because lots of people do just that. Have children so that their children in the future will fix the mess the parents are making in the presentA god that was so concerned it is supposed to have a created a child to have it die for the mess it made when creating humanity!
Agreed. OTOH, we are left with Albert Camus' comment that "There is only one really serious philosophical problem..."At this point I'll take any answers. Any proper, factual revelations. I hate suspense.

no after life?

extinction the only end
This did happen to me. The question is whether the theist is one because they want an afterlife or not. "Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it." is a quote from the gospel of Matthew.…...........if it could be proved beyond any shadow of doubt no god or afterlife exist, when you die you are no more?

Ok. You asked for my thoughts. Do you have anything to add besides this? I thought you were interested in a discussion? Sort of a conversation killer response there....That is the way you see, but I don't.
