I think I made that clear but if not, yes I respect that life has to kill to survive. But one should only kill what is absolutely necessary and give thanks to that life that sustains one's own life.

You missed the point, and that is that it boils down to a matter of who or what is doing the evaluating.

Yes I have killed mosquitoes when they are trying to bite me and usually release other insects outside rather than just killing them. I still have respect for life but know that protecting ones self or killing to survive is a natural act and does not show disrespect. Killing just to kill or inhumane treatment of animals for food is disrespect.
