humans are still evolving...

Yes it is, but no reason to doubt that article. Human beings thesedays are dumbing down, it's becuase man has lost his skills, and just sitting like a slob behind a computer all day, the computer (and technology) is doing all the work for him.

Mind you the article doesn’t say that as fact, that people are getting less intelligent. And the point i raised was that commentary on the decreased dimensions of the average human brain over a period of time does not automatically mean a reduction in intelligence. If anything, i would put my money on the opposite. Of course how one even defines intelligence in the first place will be crucial to this and also difficult, especially when tasked with comparing an ancestry that lived in very different times.

I have heard hypotheses that it's due to human domestication...since animal brains shrink slightly during domestication.

Oh right? I'll have a little browse around this subject tomorrow, quite interesting.

When you say the brains of animals shrink during domestication, do you mean over generations in domestic setting, as compared to the same species living wild?
Still i wonder for what reason, and how changes of dimensions pertain to functional changes, if any.

Apparently. Why is iffy. Could be the effects of reduced aggression, or could be a form of neoteny.

Did you just make that up?

Please look at a dictionary.

No I did not, as it was already pointed out what the dictionary definition is and it agrees with what I said, I'm not the one who needs to look it up.

As for "de-evolution" there really is no such thing unless you subscribe to sci-fi shows. Evolution is simply evolution. Change. Transition. Evolution makes no statement of advancement, just adapting. Also, just wondering here, but what makes you think brain size has anything to do with anything at all? We don't use that much of our brain as is. It is entirely possible to have a smaller brain yet use more of it and thus be more intelligent than someone/thing with a larger brain. Brain size doesn't speak to capability or intellect, the amount of our brains we actually actively use speak more to that.

... people attach themselves so closely to concepts and ideas thinking they are actually real.
I have to agree.
Especially when the concept of "god" is brought up...

In fact, I would have to say that the concept of 'god' is the easily the biggest offender.

I don´t get it, couldn´t females get pregnate like way before 18 since ever?

Cause I know a lot of women that got pregnate at their 14, 16, 13,

Are they like, super evolved? :p

Just more evidence for devolution. Morality has dropped, we now have teens having sexual intercourse at such a young age. No evolution here. Also note how most of these kids when they are born have low IQ and problems with their health becuase they are being born from very young nonmature parents. The "gene" pool is screwed, after each generation more and more information is being lost. If you want to call this "evolution" then go ahead but as you can see the changes are degeneration, getting worse.

Actually the word "de-evolution" (devolution) has been used in biology circles for over 100 years, it has a long history. The concept is also a key teaching of the history of earth to Hinduism and Buddhism, it is mentioned in many of the Vedic texts such as the Puranas, which describes the cyclic model of history on earth of four epics called yugas, the first being the best a Golden age, then devolving to the present degenerate age, called the Kali Yuga. Devolution is also found in Christianity, Garden of Eden started in perfection, then due to the curse (the start of sin) mentioned in the Bible, then things began to devolve and degenerate on earth. It is also mentioned in Islam, and is an important teaching in Gnosticism about the history of life on earth.

So your term only has value in another context and not part of known vald science.

So your saying evolution is true then.
