humans are still evolving...

in no such way does any of his statement provide evidence for your personal fantasy

Not a fantasy it is a reality:

Pregnancy

"Having babies at such a young age comes with a number of possible physical problems. Younger mothers have, on average, more babies with a low birth weight, which can cause health complications for the child."

Bad Biology: Girls Should Not Get Pregnant | LiveScience

"Many of those pregnancies also don't turn out well. The March of Dimes reports that babies of teens are more at risk for premature birth and low birth weight, major health issues, and these babies die more often than babies of older mothers."

For the record there probably is a lot of junk in our species only cause medical science manages to keep the weak alive. Usually nature weeds out the weak.

Just more evidence for devolution. Morality has dropped, we now have teens having sexual intercourse at such a young age. No evolution here. Also note how most of these kids when they are born have low IQ and problems with their health becuase they are being born from very young nonmature parents. The "gene" pool is screwed, after each generation more and more information is being lost. If you want to call this "evolution" then go ahead but as you can see the changes are degeneration, getting worse.

No worries.

I just happen to find the posts of a certain member to be rather comical.
I find myself unable to wait until the next time I can get on RF to see if said member can post something even more ridiculous and or asinine.

I have to admit, said member never fails to deliver.

Though it does appear that said member now has some serious competition and now I am most interested in which of the two will win the race of the most ridiculous and or asinine post.

God forbid they get together in the same thread....

I don´t get it, couldn´t females get pregnate like way before 18 since ever?

Cause I know a lot of women that got pregnate at their 14, 16, 13,

Are they like, super evolved? :p
LoL... actually what they are talking about is averages, not outliers and healthy pregnancies with healthy offspring.

Teen pregnancy is very risky... if you have adaptations that make it less risky you are more likely to survive and so is your child. Thus those genes have a better chance to make it into the overall population.

ps... I should add, I haven't read the full study and I'm not fully convinced that it's all that useful.
There are much better examples of ongoing human evolution.

According to the evidence, humans are devolving not evolving. Modern day humans are getting smaller and their brains are shrinking. This is devolution, not evolution.

Human brain has been 'shrinking for the last 20,000 years' | Mail Online

"It's not something we'd like to admit, but it seems the human race may actually be becoming increasingly dumb.

Man's brain has been gradually shrinking over the last 20,000 years, according to a new report."

If Modern Humans Are So Smart, Why Are Our Brains Shrinking? | Human Evolution | DISCOVER Magazine

"The average volume of the human male brain has decreased from 1,500 cubic centimeters to 1,350 cc, losing a chunk the size of a tennis ball."

Cro-Magnon man bigger brain than modern day humans:

Replica of big skull from 28,000 years ago suggests human brains have started to shrink | Mail Online

"Cro Magnon skull supports theory that human brains have begun to shrink"

Cro Magnon skull supports theory that human brains have begun to shrink - Times Online

"Scientists have found that modern-day people are about 10 per cent smaller and shorter than their hunter-gatherer forebears"

Scientist record decrease in human brain size | Space, Military and Medicine | Herald Sun

"Contrary to perceived wisdom that humans have grown taller and larger, mankind is shrinking and people’s brains are also getting smaller, say experts."

Human brains getting smaller

I am not sure what that tells us.

You seem to be holding onto human concepts like they are a literal gospel. If somebody wants to use the word devolution and define it to mean something, then let them. People can use whatever terminology they like. There is no set terminology. Scientists all have their own idea of what a "species" is. It is nutty how some people think we have to all use and abide by certain concepts or words like they are some religious holy script.

If I want devolution to mean a giant poo poo, then I will define it that way, but as it is to me devolution means loss of information, in opposition to evolution. So I will have it. And no matter what anyone says, I will define what I like when I like. Cheers.

I am all for your brain shrinking theory. The number of creationists has risen to 80% of the world population in the last 20,000 years. I am surprised we have any independent thought left. :)

if you constantly spam pseudoscience and get hostile when you get called on it, you will get banned.
I am new to the forum, so I have to ask. Are you being serious? by which I mean presenting a statement is considered spam? or are you joking? :)

that number of creationist is false
Possibly, I made it up lol :D
I took total religious population and rounded it down. Never catered for the fact that the religious community did not believe the bible literally.
Had a quick look online and it appears about 35% of Americans are creationists.
My apologies, I hope you enjoy my correction.

Posting the same thing in many threads, where it may not be pertinent to the discussion is spam.
It's frustrating to have to reply to the same post several times when once is enough.

I guess my comment was not classed as spam then, as I have not put that comment anywhere else, and I was addressing the post.

My guess is the spam reference was to EarthAlive's activities not yours.

But, since you're new and likely haven't seen it here is my response to the brain shrinking.

1 ) smaller brains mean smaller skulls and thus less dangerous birthing for mothers. Birth is the most dangerous moment for both human mothers and offspring. Thus traits that make this less dangerous are more likely to be passed to the next generation.

2 ) Brain size and intelligence are not directly related... as is mentioned in all of the articles posted. We are smarter than ever despite our smaller brains.

3 ) Noting really "devolves" because evolution is a one way process.

I think we are on the same page then here.
The bod has shrunk too, I think this is a clear proof of natural selection, because bigger humans were stronger, however as humans have evolved socially they have been able to protect their weak, so smaller people have been able to pass their genes on without being wiped out.
