I find that only slightly more odd than, say, sport teams rivalries. Or nationalism.

I believe there is something dark in the universe that tries to keep us in darkness. In ignorance.

For the jock it is sports.

They dress up like animals, take off their shirts, and run up and down the field.

It sounds to me like these furries played to much dungeon and dragons and have gotten caught up in an alternative realty very much like the jock.
