Thought it was just a threat in order to keep the flock from straying and keep the money coming in.

We will never have to worry about such a place, only the people that hold such a belief.



It is upon them to prove such a place exist outside of imagination and so far they have failed at every step.


hell evolved over a 1600 year period, my only problem with the theism is it stopped evolving and changing with the culture as it advanced.


it was fine evolving and that is where the best work came from. now were left with thousands of different interpretations to make the books fit personal and cultural beliefs

Yes you would think religion in service to the one true God would be a unifying experience that brought everybody together instead everybodys view point splintering further and further apart until they are so far apart violent factions arise.
You would think that if there can be only one truth and only one version of it and that if that truth was wrote down that anybody who read it would be immediatly convinced because coming via a perfect creator it would be flawless and without error, filled with wisdom and knowledge and morality that far exceeds that which contemporary humans had access to at the time writing.
You would think that with it being divine in origin that no mere human could ever write anything that could ever compete with it, it could expose all pretenders by the very divinty of its nature.

If there is a perfect creator and one truth you would think these things or atleast I would.

The evidence has led me elsewhere.
Kind of along the lines that Gods and magic were the most simplistic excuses from the minds of primative men made in order to explain anything they couldnt understand,
