I need some positive thoughts

I'm very sad at the moment. It might be the most sad I've been in a long time. I'm facing the mortality of one of my parents. I'm hurting. Please, send your thoughts or prayers to my parent, so that my parent has peace. Please, let me know that you understand what I'm going through.

Hi,
I was very close to my Nan, she had a big part in raising me and she died last year. She bought my kids a toy last summer that they were having great fun outside with yesterday she'd have loved to watch them having that fun. She slipped away slowly and on the day she died I was going to see her but I was ten minutes late. She's with me all the time, dying is tough to watch. She used to say 'we live as long as we can and we die when we can't help it'. I think that's about the size of it.
I'll say a prayer for you.

Now I am older, I realize what it was like to lose my parents; at the time, I think, I blocked it all out. It's nasty, and painful, and hard to deal with. You've my Skype I.D, if you want to speak, you know I am here.:hug:

Sorry for what you're going through Buttons. I lost my mom when I was about your age. It's a shock. I think some part of us always sees our parents as something more than human, and thinks that they're always going to be here. We usually find out all at once that that isn't the way life works, and it's got to be one of the hardest parts about growing up.

I hope you two get to spend some time together now. You didn't say if it's your mom or dad, or what the circumstances are, but I'm wishing peace and strength to you and your whole family.
