"The pint is an English unit of volume or capacity in both the imperial system and in United States customary units. The imperial version is 20 imperial fluid ounces and is equivalent to about 568 ml, while the U.S. version is 16 U.S. fluid ounces and is equivalent to about 473 ml. Thus the traditional British pint of beer is approximately 20% larger than the American pint."

So confusing, so confusing... :(

I usually order half a liter (that is 500 ml) , does that mean my mind isn't right? :)
There's a line in 1984 when one of the proles complains about ordering beer in metric, saying that he liked pints and that a half litre isn't enough but a whole litre is too much.

Growing up thinking that a pint was 473 ml, this never made sense to me until I found out that British pints are a different size.

You seem a nice person. I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but yes.....you should seek help.....soon.
How much help? A hogshead of help? A slug of help? ;)

It's up to 3.45 here, max for regular unleaded I've seen. Low-end chains (Kroger, QuikTrip, etc) are floating around 3.38.

I'm not gonna be able to drive to work soon. :(

I paid 3.55 for gas for my route today. I'm barely making enough as it is. Since gas probably won't go back down, I'm considering substitute teaching next semester.

This is why I now walk, bike, and take buses or trains. I encourage everyone else to do the same. Costs less and is ultimately better on our environment.

Nigh impossible in Texas. We have a transit bus line between Denton and Dallas, but you have to drive to get to the stops along the service road, :/.

I stopped at a gas station tonight, regular was $3.55, and mid was $3.51. I double checked that, and figured I might as well save some money.

Too many people hate cyclists in the US. One must be paranoid to survive.
A couple decades ago, I was hit on purpose by a driver. He was later caught,
& was disappointed to find out that I lived. (Only a broken leg & some bumps.)
He didn't even get any jail time. Other cyclists I know have been deliberately attacked.

So hit-and-run incident are not considered a crime in Revoltistan?
I find that hard to believe.

Actually, I lived in Maryland at the time. The perp was an angry drunk, which is probably why the court cut him some slack.
America has a lingering problem with thinking that drunks aren't fully responsible for their actions.

I have heard many rumors that americans are strange, and this is not doing much to refute this :)

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I wonder how many stones I weigh? And how many stones I will lose if I have to start riding my bike to work?

Just a quick reminder for the americans that they live in petrol heaven.

I just paid 1,74€/2,16$ for a litre. Thats 6,59€/8,18$ per gallon.
