I Propose A Challenge

Those who don’t believe in Christ, I challenge you to pretend that you do for about a week and come back here and tell me if you feel any different. You have to pretend that Christ is alive in your heart though. Whatever that means to you. See ya in a week.

With all due respect, I don't see how anyone can 'pretend' that Christ is alive in their heart.
A person either feels that way or not ....
If they were only pretending that would mean that they did not really believe that Christ was alive in their heart.

I know that Jesus Christ is alive in my heart, and also in heaven, which is why I cry out to Jesus often, since I know that Jesus can intercede on my behalf.

Kind of like when you’re a little kid and you pretend to be this or that. It’s not that difficult. Besides, you believe in Jesus anyway so you needn’t worry.

I believe in Jesus so I don't have to pretend, but anyone who does not believe in Jesus would be pretending.
Maybe pretend works for little kids, but I don't think it works very well for adults.
We'll see though, as more people reply to this thread.

I think adults need a little more pretend in their life.

I don't think people can "pretend" this sort of thing. If a person is not convinced, they can't pretend to be convinced. If If the grass looks green to me, I can't really pretend it's purple.

To pretend is to inherently not believe.
Wouldn't an omniscient supreme deity
detect the subterfuge?

Oh I did that for over 30 years straight, had a lot of fun and special times , all that good stuff, near and dear to my heart, but still at the end of the day , I never regretted going back to the place before all this religious stuff started.

I was and did as a Catholic for like 8 years.

Nothing.

Thanks, I'll stick back to being Pagan now.
