I have wanted to quit smoking for some time now. I am getting older and realize that I can live a whole lot longer living smoke free. I got up this morning and decided I am not going to smoke any longer. I have made it all day without a smoke. Each day will be a little easier I hope.

That's excellent! :clap

I've quit smoking (cold turkey) twice :)D), but really, if you really want it, it does get easier, though there are always a few rough days in there where you might crave it. After a few weeks, you will likely not even miss them, though. Best of luck! :)

Good for you! I understand it's extremely difficult, but I know you can do it. You owe it to yourself and to your loved ones.

My second grandchild was born this month. I want to see her become a grown woman. They say that after 7 years every cell in your body is different. It is never too late to quit smoking. I am a stubborn old fart, I have that going for me.

Thanks for the support!

Good for you. I've been trying to get half my family to quit, but no one follows my views on the matter in the household... :(

That's awesome Rick!

I used to smoke like a chimney,
from my late teens to my mid twenties.

But now I need to sing, .....
and breathe.... and live.... LOL!

Awwwww.... best of luck to you!

I myself am smoke free. I quit on Halloween.
It's not easy, but you have to be strong.
There use to be those days when I want one, but then
I just think about how I am doing so well. Why
mess it up now. I kept telling myself,
"You don't need to smoke. You don't need to smoke."
Of course I don't say it out loud. Don't want anyone
thinking that I've gone nutso.

The other good thing? You save a lot of money.

The best part is, I hear food taste better and your sense of smell will start improving as well. Just in time for the summer months! Good luck in your journey and keep us updated.

Congratulations! Remember though: don't not smoke because you have a rule not to. You must decide to stop. You can have one whenever you want to, but it's your decision. keep us updated
