Though we debate online, and sometimes things can get heated very easily. I respect each and every one of your opinions on origins, deity's, Gods, beliefs, everything. Just please know that I feel every one is entitled to their own opinion and I do appreciate you sharing your thoughts and views with me.

I in no way disrespect you for your beliefs and I hope that you can return the favor. After all, we are all children of the same earth.

I''l drink to that.

And this is BY FAR the best and most mature forums ive been a part of. Ive actually enjoyed it here so far. I see for the most part, people are pretty respectful and passionate about their respective faiths and beliefs. Perfect fuel for great debate.

I agree... I was made to look stupid in one my threads mainly because I followed a certain Guru's Teachings; that is my spiritual freedom

I believe he's saying he respects the fact that we all have the right to believe as we do.
That’s not exactly saying much- it’s like saying we all have the right to be jaw-droppingly stupid and arrive at opinions with no compelling reason to do so. Sure.

We may have the right to form our own opinions, but we don’t have the right to form our own facts independent of the evidence. And once those opinions are formed, we all have the right to mercilessly critique and disrespect those ideas arrived at falsely or with little if any rationalization. I may respect the right of people to choose a belief freely, but I certainly don’t respect every opinion on “origins, deity's, Gods, beliefs, everything.” Some beliefs are just plain harmful, worthless and ignorant. If your faith requires the denial of a 4.5+ billion year old earth or the undeniable consequences of changes in alleles over deep time, then I not only have no respect for your opinion I think you’re an idiot and likely a liar. I can’t respect lazy arguments that irrationally arrive at a bigoted stance against homosexuals, women or minorities or whatever- I disrespect unsubstantiated arguments that arrive at faulty conclusions. Not only is there much just begging to be disrespected, I also think many opinions deserve to be mocked and exposed as the nonsense they are so others may see why their beliefs are not respected.

I'll toast an iced tea to that.

Now THIS I will raise a glass to! Belief is bad news. Everyone likes to think that it always deserves respect. Bull. Tell that to a mother whose Jewish son was sitting on a bus next to a guy with pockets filled with nails and ball berings and explosives strapped beneath his coat, or the sister of a young girl who died in hospital bed because her parents refused to allow doctors to give her a blood transfusion. Beliefs are not inherently respectworthy.

Ehhh. We all have to freedom to choose what we believe. Whether one feels its right or not. Tis our right as free human beings.
