Idolatry and Christianity

idolatry is the abomination; which causes desolation of the land.
So, you think that because some people slip into idolatry that God will punish all, including children, with conditions that would cause hardship and death? That would make God out as being a genocidal maniac, which I completely disagree with.

god isn't something separate from self. so free will still allows you to choose between service to self or service to all as self.

service to self eventually fails for the one divided/separated from unconditional love. only at the absolute can there be service to self because there is no otherness

I agree with you. It STILL doesn't make the commandment and the genesis verse have the same word/same meaning.
genesis 1:2 describes to you what exists, is eternal; this is the no thing but not nothing. form is secondary and arises from an action. an eternal action of being. this is what the ineffable name is describing in exodus 3:14. it is a verb first, a being, an action; then it is a thing, a noun, a form.

same idea as in john in the beginning, at the start of creation, the word was with god, the word was god, and the word became form.

That has nothing to do whatsoever to what I posted.

actually you promoted the idea the self and god are dualistic and god punishes. this is incorrect. god doesn't punish. self punishes when it thinks in terms of service to self and promotes the illusion of a dualistic reality. like jesus said, a house divided against itself will fall. this is the fail. believing that god and self are separate, opposed, contrasted.

this is how idolatry begins as projecting that this form is divine and that otherness isn't; which is based on observation of contrasting forms and not recognizing the action that created both.

god created heaven and earth, mankind judges as good/evil. god created everything and called it good. man created chaos with idolizing

the bible says you have one teacher, the christ. so then where is this christ? I am with you always. the second coming isn't an objective experience. it comes from within as elijah heard the still small voice and david was told to be still and i will be exalted among the nations and in the earth.
You're freaking me out, seriously.

I do not accept, nor do I believe it's logical, the pantheistic approach. Pananentheistic is much more logical, which is not to say it's correct however. Whether it is correct or not is well beyond my paygrade.

panentheism is just another "form" of dualism. again there is this vs that. like jesus said, flesh counts for nothing.. the form is only a dwelling place for the Spirit on earth. A body is a prison in some cases for the spirit.. A coffin for the sleeping spirit. can be understood as the shekinah entering the temple of solomon.

so the panentheist is claiming god and forms of god. the forms aren't real, they don't last, they morph and are constantly changing, like a mirage

Pananetheism does not state nor imply "flesh counts for nothing".

That's not what it intrinsically states or implies. What it does state is that "God" is in everything and yet not everything is 100% "God" but is nevertheless created by "God".

Read Spinoza's teachings on this if you get a chance.

that shouldn't be astonishing to anyone who has ears to listen. listening to one's own inner voice, consciousness, spirit, mind shouldn't be that disturbing

i will be exalted in the earth is simply the body; which came from the earth too. i will be what i will be

no one goes up to heaven except the son of man who came down.

i stated jesus said it for a reason. PAY ATTENTION. panentheism is dualistic. hear O Israel God is ONE. not two

it begins and ends where it started. that again limits god if you claim there is something that isn't 100% god. that is duality.

even john tells you that there was nothing made that wasn't made of it, that there was nothing made without it, nothing made apart from it, nothing made outside of it. john 1:3

Pananetheism does not posit polytheism. Here: Panentheism - Wikipedia

it begins and ends where it started. that again limits god if you claim there is something that isn't 100% god. that is duality.
Dualism doe not limit God if God made all, which is what the Abrahamic religions believe to be true.

even john tells you that there was nothing made that wasn't made of it, that there was nothing made without it, nothing made apart from it, nothing made outside of it. john 1:3
But being made is not necessarily being the same as common sense shows us, such as a rock is not the same as a tree.
