Sure. I used to be a Satanist and am still Left-Hand Path. I worship Odin and Kali, who are decidedly "dark" deities so I have things in common with many Satanists. It's an influence of mine still. If you have a problem, it's not mine.

Founders of religion usually break with an established tradition by radically altering in one or more ways. Or they come up with something completely new, like Raelism. Jesus is the founder of Christianity, obviously.

What does The Church of Satan have to do with anything? We've already established that they don't represent satanism as a whole and in fact are only one of many satanic organizations, and not only that they are among the least politically active among them.

What really hits the RCC is the number of priests. The ratio of paedophiles in the RCC is equal to any organization, it just looks worse because the number of people is higher.

...But essentially, it's the same equivalent, person for person.
