If Russia actually dont want war with Ukraine

Should not Russia actually pull away every military personal and weapons from the border of Ukraine then?

If a president dont want war, why provok both Ukraine and Nato?

Either Putin will greenlight an invasion, likely April or May in the spring, or he's testing things like response and logistics by other nations and gathering intelligence.

The presence of troops along a border doesn't necessarily indicate a desire to go to war. It could be a defensive posture.

Wars are good for the economy so long as they're being fought elsewhere. The US is nearly always fighting a war somewhere, on whatever pretext it can conjure up. Why expect the Chinese or the Russians to behave any differently? Especially when the US is so divided against itself that it's effectively paralyzed.

Yes...because we spend our taxpayer money to
manufacture materiel that goes overseas to be
destroyed or abandoned.
Prithee....how is that good for our economy?

The rich get richer and the poor get jobs making the weapons and fighting the wars.

If Ukraine was to attack Russia, Ukraine would be toast alone. Its all up to Putin now.

Well, if you look at a map, you would see that NATO could strike at vulnerable parts of Russia from Latvia and Estonia. St. Petersburg and Russia's northern seaports could be immediately threatened and cut off right away.

If Ukraine is a member of NATO, then NATO could launch an attack from Ukraine, making it a two-pronged attack and be able to grab Moscow in relatively short order.

So, they do have legitimate concerns about their own national defense. A strong NATO force attacking from the Baltics and Ukraine could do a lot of severe damage to Russia.

Nato has no need to attack Russia
