Well, since the germans and the japanese had probably very different ideas of what a superior race must look like, then I suppose that the fact that there are also different opinions about gods, does not entail we should not oppose the concept(s).

A true atheist would never oppose anyone. They are perfectly happy to go about life without a God.

You are living in a rainbow and unicorns bubble. As we speak, the religious right in this country are attempting to remove women's rights to their own bodies. And are being successful in some states.
Not that they give a damn what happens to that child once they are born into a poverty-stricken abusive life.
This is just one of many reason non-believers can't just ignore the bully-bull. Believe me, we have much better things to do with our time than trying to keep up with policies imposed on us by Bible believers.
Who is to judge who is a false theist and who isnt?
Why would a false theist use theist concepts to threaten? My guess is they are true theist taking their holy book literally... Many do
It is not just once but several different theists on several occasions and i can pretty much guarantee that i am not the only atheist to be verbally abused by theists.
There are a few such theists on this forum who delight in attempting to ridicule and mock atheists and what they call atheist beliefs, i.e. science... the hatred is palpable. None the less, they truly believe that they are abiding by their god will.
True theist is a pretty silly idea since all that is required to be a theist is a belief in some God.
I suppose there is a group of atheists going about pretending to believe in a God just for the sake of giving theists a bad name.

Can't "leave" it...as "THEY" will not leave it alone..."THEY" are commissioned by their "good book", to go out and harass as many people about the "good news" as they possibly CAN.I don't think any theist ever told this forcefully to any atheist, unless atheist went to ask.
You apparently haven't been accosted like I have, then. Used to be I could not go ANYWHERE without having someone come up to me....start up a seemingly casual conversation, then literally out of the BLUE, ask me if I have been "SAVED" yet, or some such equally nonsensical question.
If atheist don't like the idea, than why not leave it ? why jealous ? why oppose ?

It is truly amazing how many true theists judge other theists as being not true theists. I have come across this gross contravention of matthew 7:1-5 three times in the last three weeks. What is truly amazing is that none of those doing the judging see anything contrary to christianity in making judgement on others christians.

Well, that is the thing. They very often are, to the point of demanding or even just expecting reverence, privilege and even legal exception.
I suppose it may be different in your community. In many of ours there is a lot of good reason to confront and challenge theists.
Because that is too much to ask - and if it were not too much, we would have no reason to ask that of atheists instead of theists, who are after all those who expect concessions from others.
Honestly, I have no idea of what you mean here. I suspect that you have a conception of atheists, and of how they relate to theists, that is very unlike my own experience and conceptions.
I am in serious doubt of whether your conception is even realistic. Maybe it was taken from the Qur'an or something?

Theists very often expect and even demand other people to be or pretend to be theists even when they know better.
There are many reasons to resist that. Intellectual honesty, opposition to discrimination, respect towards theism, you name it.
You really ought to be asking theists why they are so unaccepting of atheism, not the other way around.
