What would be the pros and cons?

Inspired by @Nakosis' thread about becoming atheists.
I was wondering what would happen if everyone had a God realization that they were verily that.
Certainly not any forced realization. Just a movement to evolve beyond identification with the body and mind.
Being God doesn't deny the human experience. Self-realization only recognizes one's being the same as God.
What Self-realization does deny is that we are limited to this human existence. I suppose a few people might be reluctant to let go of their attachment to the world.

I suppose we would all become Advaitins or something very similar but probably way less stylish.

I could live with that, if you could live with my mangling of how Sanskrit words are spoken.

To evolve beyond identification with the body and mind is only possible at death imo. When God recognizes that his son is dead is when creation takes place.

There can be only one.
(I wonder who is going to understand the reference.)

Then I suppose there'd be nothing special about God.
Unless people wanted to go about worshiping themself.

Loving God and my neighbor as myself.
What would be the pros and cons?
Human lives have far greater well being if we have a power greater than ourselves. That power can be God, or your AA group, or some cause that you devote your life to. If we found out we were all God, one of the key benefits of believing in God would be lost.

I think maybe we are all very slowly, gradually, becoming one with God, or something bigger at least.. But this process has to go through the human stage, where we are much lower beings, that learn about nerves, and physical limitations, and brain limitations, and things like that..

What are the limitations of our godliness?

This assumes God is somehow special and requires worship.

What reason is there to make such assumptions?
