Oh, good perspective. Man, you'd be a refreshing contrast in the biblical debates thread about whether women can preach/lead/teach.

I think a lot depends on how many women are in political office, before there would be any change in political direction. If there are only a scant few women in high office, they act like men...especially female candidates for president -- and it's not just those crazy Republicans! Even Hillary Clinton positioned herself as a warhawk when she entered the Senate and started preparing for a run for president.Most of the women in charge aren't doing anything all that differently than what the men are doing. But we've never had a woman president, so maybe we ought to try it out to make sure. Just make sure it isn't Sarah Palin, though
Some of the rightwing political theorists blame the extension of voting rights for women for the creation of the modern welfare state. It's noted that federal government spending increased during times of war, and then dropped back afterwards.....until women started voting! And that gender gap still exists today in all demographic groups, as women voters put higher priority on social issues than men do on average.
Going back to the thread question, we've had mostly patriarchies dominating the world since the start of the Agricultural Revolution. Now that this Earth is overheating, running out of resources, and is being environmentally degraded from supporting 7 billion people now, I would say this world is in too much of a fragile state to indulge the usual potentates who want to build empires and wage wars....so let's see if putting more women in positions of power might change the twisted priorities of our present leaders....seems worth a try!

I agree that life wouldn't be much different if women ruled the world. Maybe some family-rights acts would be better here in the US (anywhere close to some European countries would be nice)...otherwise, not much different IMO.

Meaning sex especially in prostitution would be a legal profession and society would acclimate to sex workers. The movement and selling of sex e.g. Vaginas, wouldn't be considered a bad thing hence my statemwnt.
