It's basically about whether you would improve the world if you had unlimited power and authority.
That's why I say it's like the monkey's paw: a group of people get three wishes (from an enchanted monkey's paw). The first two wishes have such awful unintended consequences that they use their last wish to undo their first two.

Would the world be a better place? (in your opinion)
I am reminded of a conversation I had with my uncle long long ago.
He asked me if I could have any vehicle, any vehicle at all, what vehicle would I want.
I thought about it for a few moments and told him I would want a Klingon Bird of Prey.
His response was that ultimate power brings ultimate corruption.
I asked him, what makes you think I would be hanging around this planet if I had a Klingon Bird of Prey?

Possibly, but only because I'd be paying attention and amenable to making changes and minor tweaks whenever necessary.

In any case, I probably would be far more understanding and less harsh than the "God" described by most religions. If I was going to create humans to be a certain way and throw them into this kind of environment, I'd hardly be in much of a position to complain about what they do.

I would take a Federation vessel myself, such as the USS Prometheus. Klingon ships have no holodecks, and the replicators only serve Klingon food. But on the bright side, there are 51 different varieties of Gagh, and I hear the blood wine isn't too bad.

I'm wondering on what basis folks are voting "yes" to this question. That's gotta be some sort of hubris there...

Do you think a world without disease, war, famine, mental illnesses, lice, ticks, confusion, and injustice would be a better world?

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (Rev. 21:4)

Eventually the earth will be without those things. But for now, it's our job to make it a better place and to trust in God. We are hear in this current, albeit temporary, environment for a reason.

Perhaps hubris. I would speak clear instructions to people. All would know the truth. There would also be no cancer. That would be an improvement, no?

The question is what would you do to the people that refused to listen to you? What would you do to those that rebelled against you? What would you do to those that disagreed with you? You expect that all that know the truth and your clear instructions would just fall in line. People will only fall in line if you take away there choice. Why have an earth at all just put everyone in heaven or Eden again, just make sure there's no tree of knowledge this time.

Disease exists to kill off the weak, like predators do. Even animals like flies and worms have jobs to do. We know so little about how the world works, I'm not sure I can make judgements.

"Disease exists to kill off the weak"

No, it does not. Disease does not really exist to do anything other than exist. But if you want to think about it in the terms of survival of the fittest a microbe that does not kill its host is far more successful than one that kills off its host, as without a host it cannot survive.

Most microbes have what is called a natural reservoir, another organism that it evolved with. It typically has very little ill effect on that organisms, (like humans and certain types of herpes) as it and the reservoir have evolved a natural balance. It is when a microbe crosses over to a new specie that you typically see the nasty side effects, because it has not evolved to a healthy balance with that species (or its new environment).

I'd often do nothing to those who refused to listen. They would suffer consequences on their own however. I would sometimes restrain people to stop war or stop a child from getting raped.

If I was all powerful I am sure it would not take me long to get bored of the Earth and its silly little humans. I would go explore space and leave you all to fend for yourselves.

What sort of job has God been doing? I've never seen any reason to think that God has done anything at all.

God is having the good news about His coming kingdom government (thy kingdom come) being proclaimed on a vast international global scale today as never before in history just as foretold it would be at Matthew 24:14 and Acts 1:8. So, to me, God has been doing a lot to see that scriptural work is being done even though the Bible, and Bible people, have many obstacles and hurdles to overcome to accomplish that work.
Do you know anyone who has never heard of the Bible ?

And to me, since the truth of the Bible is that enemy death will be No more on Earth according to 1 Corinthians 15:26 and Isaiah 25:8, then there will be No one saying, " I am sick....." according to Isaiah 33:24 and Isaiah chapter 35.

What consequences would they suffer? Only sometimes how is that better than today.
When you get rid of the lice and ticks what are you going to feed the creatures that eat them.
**Wild turkeys are known to consume up to 200 ticks a day according to the Pennsylvania Game Commission

Feed them a small creature that doesn't suck blood and spread limes disease.

It would be better than today because no one would be raped, everyone would know the truth, and there would be no war, famine, or Cancer

If I had absolute power, I could keep resetting time till I got things right. Make a mistake, learn from it, go back and do it right.
