If you were God, what would you do differently?

If you were God, what would you do differently than the current God who allegedly has the power to do anything? I'd feed the hungry, heal the sick, give pedophiles a sexuality where they were attracted to adults, protect the innocent, give everyone a healthy sexuality where they weren't plagued with the desire to harm or dominate others, and heal the mentally ill.

There would be no atheists because I would speak to everyone with clear instructions. Hell would be a rehabilitation center to prepare people for Heaven. I'd show people I loved them by enlightening and healing them, anoint world leaders with the knowledge of how to make decisions that would be best for the world and their people, leave people with a book of instructions that didn't contradict itself, and would answer people's questions about that book so that there wouldn't be confusion, misinterpretation, and division that creates thousands of denominations (what we have today).

Everyone who turned to me would receive clear answers. They would know their calling, vocation, and who their spouse was to be. There would be no unwanted pregnancies or sexually transmitted diseases, and urine and feces wouldn't stink. What did I leave out? :D
Seriously, I'd go fishing!!! I'd make sure I had an unlisted number. I'd buy a small travel van. I'd stay as low key as possible. I'd help every single person I came across. I'd judge no one. I'd correct no one. I'd make damn sure no one on earth knew I was actually god do that they would argue, fight, and kill about what I actually thought was important.

I'd make sure that if people really thought about what makes them happy, they'd know that helping others makes them happier than anything else; but they'd have no idea that a god would even be possible. That would only distract them from living life to the fullest and helping any and all that needed it.

If I were God, I would not change a thing. It is a Masterpiece just as it is.

God's laws were already written in stone and everyone looks for excuses why they do not have to follow them. How much more clear can you get?
Indeed: it's written in stone that if you don't redeem the firstborn of your donkey with a lamb, you have to break the firstborn's neck. God said it, I believe it, that settles it.

Right?

Everytime I see this question asked I give the exact same response.

If I were god I would establish a world religion based of of principles of BDSM and make sadomasochism the livelihood of mankind and establish a multiple of races to express the various forms of suffering and pleasure.

I probably wouldn't have any angels; no need for Lucifer to rebel or tempt Adam and Eve if there's no angels. What's the point anyway? If God is all-powerful and can just snap His fingers and make stuff happen, He doesn't really need any "helpers" does He?

I also wouldn't tell any humans that I exist. I wouldn't put a fruit-bearing tree in a garden and tell the humans not to eat it. If I didn't want humans to eat the fruit, I wouldn't have created the stupid tree in the first place.

Also, there would be far less drama. If humanity wasn't working out well and I felt the need to start over, I would just zap everything out of existence and start over. No need for Noah's Ark or all that flood business; just put Noah and Co. in a separate safety zone, reboot the program, and then deposit Noah and the animals into a new and improved Earth.

I'd also like to think that I'd handle things with greater maturity than God, if scripture is anything to go by. The kind of tantrums and other acts of sadism attributed to God make it seem as if God is some kind of immature, sadistic child who likes to pull the wings off of flies.

Only one thing, I think. Humans would absolutely not be allowed to overpopulate and consume to the extent that they have. The resulting genocides that have been enabled through these things are not acceptable, period. Whatever means to accomplish the aims are acceptable.

If I were god the world would quickly become a much quieter place. I'll leave it at that and let your imaginations take it from there, LOL.

I would definetely do everything I can to improve the situation of women.
In many countries women are treated more like animals than like humans, its a tragedy.

Do you believe that there is an actual God, but he is not doing things right? Or, are you suggesting that there is no God, since you perceive the world is not run well?

I'd definitely let folks know I was around. What's the point of God only showing himself to a few prophets? God really expect us to trust people we don't even know to instruct us on what God wants? Leaves lots of room to be conned. We're supposed to somehow know the right religion, the right prophet to follow?

Most of us are too easily fooled, too trusting. If God is going to "work in mysterious ways" then how can there be freewill. If there is freewill then any plan for salvation is bound for failure.
