So sad........I've never seen a lion in real life..and I don't like the idea of them being in a zoo or circus. I've come to appreciate watching them on nature programs...They're small in number and I'd like to preserve their species.....again, so sad....

Funny you say that . Right after I saw this a lion killed a lion at the Dallas zoo 2 days ago .First time its happened in the history of the zoo . They don't know why . Im not mad at the lion that killed the lion though.And the Dallas zoo to my understanding takes mostly animals that are rescued. Our zoo had 5 lions. 3 females and 2 males.Now one less female.:(

Hunting deer (with restrictions) I'm O.K with . I personally would only hunt them to protect the population and eat the meat. (I don't eat the meat but others do) . Deer at least in parts of the country I grew up in were over populated "hence" starving out" in the winters. They were killed to "thin them out".They were starving.

Also if you are going to eat the meat then yeah. I get that.

Not for sport to hang a head on your wall AT RISK ANIMALS.

I have had the priveledge. If you heard the roar of a lion .You would never forget it .Its bone chilling thrilling.

See a tiger ? Thrice the thrill. Tigers are the largest of the wild cats.Most don't realize that .Lions are smaller than tigers. Their size mesmerizes you .when you are looking at a cat that weighs 600lbs ??? OMG .. Lions are more about 300lbs.

That one in the picture? Hes HUGE .Hes probably 400 /500 lbs.

I think hanging the head of an animal on a wall as a trophy is utterly barbaric. EDIT: <----- IMHO

But, yeah, I totally agree, Dallas: I'll only hunt Deer for meat, if and only if I really need to (zombie apocalypse, other end of the world scenarios, etc. etc. etc.).

I used to fish for sport. I mean since I was a young girl like 8. My father underwater spear fished in the ocean. I don't do that any more. I think my husband misses that about me.

I mean I caught and released. But I don't understand the "purpose" in harming them also many of them may not have survived the injuries if you catch my drift.
