I am..Im not giving up..I just tried 3 times today just to get an account (username I.D) to browse and it said "system unavailable"...
Im convinced though based on what should be available under the reform my family of 4 should be able to get the coverage we have a lot less expensive.I just cant even register ARGHHH!!!
Does anyone know if the shutdown is affecting this? I mean, it would make sense, seeing as other government websites, like the CDC and Pubmed, do not currently have support.
Yeah, I haven't heard anything either, which I found surprising.Haven't hear a peep out of the White House or other leaders in the Democratic party that the shutdown is affecting the system. They probably can't get in to figure it out.
Du bekloppt gelbe Mann.No one I know has been able to sign up.
It seems they're not doing it in droves!
The word of the day, kiddies, is "Schadenfreude"!
Very likely. The system is new and weighted down with heavy traffic. Once the initial waves of signups and checking things out are down the amount of traffic will eventually lessen and the server will not be as strained as fewer people are on it at once. So, will the system be up and running by 2014 when the "penalty" whoops meant "tax" kicks in if you don't have insurance? Guess they had better be getting their Amish IT contractor working on the problem.:sorry1:

Well, I went to the doctor and the wanna-be-so-called nurse practioner did not really address my knee, but instead ordered tests for things that are in no-way-shape-or-form related to my knee. She didn't even talk about insurance. So I'm back to step one in trying to find a doctor who will see me, but this time the new criteria is one that isn't going to be concerned about hormone levels when asked about a ****** up knee.
I think what infuriated me the most was when I asked her if she could show me how to use my cane without hurting my wrists, she told me no.That has nothing to do with sexual status. This is BASIC things like a HUMAN getting an infection in their apendix.
This is my healthcare experience as of yesterday.
Was able to enroll and get to view the plans here in FL. 137 options and the cheapest appeared to be $224.
There were no 'catastrophic' options, only bronze and up.
The bronze highest deductible option was $6500.
The enrollment steps were repetitive and buggy. I had to start over once or twice.
The odd thing is that it told me I had a $0 tax credit. Which has to be a bug considering the income I entered. (under $30k)
There's definitely bugs in the software and procedures that they need to get fixed. I had issues going to healthcare.gov using Firefox, so I tried IE and it was the browser that allowed me to get through the process.
I've heard that, Rush actually was the first place. You'd think it would work. I've currently got insurance so there's no issues. I'll have to talk to someone about the tax credit. So, maybe they should delay this until they get all the "bugs" worked out of the system? Gee at a price tag of somewhere around $360,000,000 to some estimate as much as $600,000,000 just to connect you to an insurance company you would have thunk they could have done a better job. It didn't cost Apple this much to design the iPhone (around $150 million)

Let us know when you find someone to ask the question to and how long it took. With the present issues with just signing up I think you might have a long wait and my not like the answer you get. Oh, just out of curiosity what is your "out-of-pocket" expenses...the deductible. You did say bronze plane didn't you. I understand it is 60/40 capped at $6350.I've heard that, Rush actually was the first place. You'd think it would work. I've currently got insurance so there's no issues. I'll have to talk to someone about the tax credit.
