Yes, the Bible is against traditional theatre performances. I'm rather surprised that you didn't know that?
Considering all the Christians I know happen to be theatre majors, it is a bit odd to me

We are defining, first of all, the difference between what is acceptable and what is not.
That's right. And you've decided that inequity and injustice are acceptable, despite them being condemned in the Bible, and that loving, consensual relationships between adults are unacceptable, despite the fact that the Bible describes them in similar terms to the eating of shellfish.

Wow we are on page 21 of this thread...
Was not expecting it when I first saw it to go this far

I don't walk into Church with a t-shirt that has a pot leaf on it.
God made it, gave us naturally occurring endocannabinoids in our bodies, and made it so it has health benefits for us. Hemp has hundreds of commercial and industrial applications. So why not?

Goodness. So much hatred towards others. Do you only love those whom you see as worthy, like yourself?

Force them to change through fear of violence? So you will only embrace with love and compassion, those who earn it and deserve it in your eyes? What is it that Jesus taught us about loving our enemies? Does that pertain at all here?

The anger, hatred, and loathing, judging and condemning, versus seeing others through the eyes of love. I don't understand that. How do you see yourself? As loathsome and awful, deserving of the hatred of others, unless you can prove your worth and value as a good person? Do you love yourself? Or do you hold yourself in contempt, the way you hold others in contempt?

Recall what I said about how judging others has the effect of judging ourselves with that same judgement, except sevenfold over? I do believe this is something Jesus warned us about for that very reason.

So yes then, you only deserve love when you conform to the rules that others expect of you. Is that correct?
43 + 18 = 61, is correct.

That's a non sequitur.
You just confirmed you don't know what it is.
Definition of NON SEQUITUR
an inference (see INFERENCE sense 1) that does not follow from the premises (see PREMISE entry 1 sense 1)
a statement (such as a response) that does not follow logically from or is not clearly related to anything previously said
I asked you why you'd care and denounce it because it's none of your business and it's not harming you. That just isn't a non sequitur.
Care to answer the question.

Shellfish were not kosher, as were animals that both chew the cud and had cloven hooves. Fish with scales were permitted, as were certain birds but no all. But, one might ask, what about condiments or garnishes? The ingredients of each would determine their acceptability with the Jewish diet. I just don't believe, as you should also, obviously, that consent equals decent or edifying.
Why did you cut out 90% of my post?

You wouldn't tell a heroine user to stop? Or, a prostitute to stop? Or, an over-eater to stop? Or, a gambler to stop? Or, a cigarette smoker to stop?

Loving God and my neighbor as myself.
Jesus word is gold. He didnt lie. If one starves its because they did not apply that teaching when they knew it. But few do know it because 99% of all religions claiming to be christian will not believe Jesus over the dogmas they are taught in the schools of men.
There are a lot of reasons that people can go hungry, even starve. There are those who cannot work, and don't think for a minute that our welfare/disability system gives enough money for them to get by. There are people who live in countries with corrupt dictatorships where even food from foreign aid gets confiscated and sold on the black market. I mean, I could write a whole book on hunger. What is NOT a reason for hunger is people who don't have the "right" religious beliefs.

Nah. Telling people what to do isn't really my style.
A heroine user, if it's an addiction I would offer support and a helping hand. Telling them what to do can easily make things worse, and ignite a path of destructive defiance.
A prostitute? I'd want to help her out and secure a better income. Telling her to stop can make things worse, especially if she is supporting others with the money.
A gambler? I gamble (my game is poker). I'm not going to stop so I'm in not going to tell others to stop. Mind your own business on that one as it harms neither you or me.
Smoking? Telling them to stop, again it doesn't work unless making it worse is the goal. What does work though is putting pictures of diseased ridden lungs from smoking on packs of cigarettes.
Here's a bonus for you. I had a client who had to take better care of himself. He went to the hospital because he wouldn't take his meds and he wouldn't improve his diet. And, no, I didn't get him to change or tell him what to do. I encouraged him to think about his family member he supported, and how this person depended on him for more than just financial support, and he changed his habits of his own volition.
I had a diabetic client. He liked to drink. I told him I was concerned about his drinking to excess with all the sugar in it. I didn't lecture him, I didn't tell him what he has to do, I just let him know to manage his diabetes he can still enjoy a drink and he doesn't have to "eat like a rabbit." That's all I did. He did the rest.
And then there was the exhibitionist I had. His own words "telling me not to just makes me want to do it." So I took his word for it and didn't tell him what to either.

'So' is the musical note G of the 'C' natural scale. Did you know that?
Did you know that's called dodging the question?
Did you know your post there is a non sequitur as it does not at all follow from my question asking you why you won't wear a shirt with a cannabis leaf?
