Intelligent design, my version.

I support the idea of intelligent design being taught in Schools,as per this type;

Some people believe God created the Earth some 5 billion years ago, God was in no hurry so he spent 3 billion years before creating primitive bacterial life in a soup like mix of DNA strands, 1 1/2 billion years later he created the dinosaurs, and skipping ahead only 100,000 years ago he created the first Humans, one woman Eve and probably more than one man as her mate, skipping ahead to 15,000 years ago God created a great furnace to melt the Ice that covered most of the world and there was a great flood, 98% of the World's people lived below our present sea level and when most of the glaciers melted there was a cataclysm of Global warming that raised the sea level 400!!! feet and 99% of the world's people drowned, In the middle east everyone was killed except for a visionary nautical engineer that built a great ship his name was Noah and you may or may not believe the rest of the story but people of faith believe some of it is recorded in the bible.

I call it intelligent design, and its based on the idea that evolution is the way God creates, by encouraging mutations to occur over million of millions of years etc In a regular science course at high school all it would take is one one hour class to discuss it as a possible alternative to Godless evolution as theorized by Charles Darwin and most modern scientists.

I said it was my version of Intelligent design, not right wing Christianity's version, they don't have the right to use the word intelligent for their designs!!!

But not even that should be taught as science

Like I stated in the other thread, there's no need to call it ID. Evolution isn't inherently godless. Evolution could be directed by divine will. But that kind of speculation isn't for the science classroom.

So, where would you want this taught, science class? Religious studies class, Mythology class? _________ ?

Maybe Philosophy in University, its not really as simple to understand as it might look on paper!! But for instance in science classes today they teach there was no universal flood, when there was, as I said in the OP, at the end of the last ice age, the sea level rose 400ft and no one knows for sure how slow or rapid a process it was, at least according to scientists.

I have no idea where you get your information from, but at the peak of the last ice age the global sea level was 400 ft below its present level, so there's no way it could have subsequently risen 3,000 feet. In fact, it would rise to its present level, and very little more if at all.

Well I am fallible, I'm going off some very old memory. I just googled it you're absolutely right, scientists theorize it was about 400 ft lower sea level, thanks for pointing that out to me. I edited the OP to say 400ft. thanks again.

Can we create life faster than God.

I think it is stupid to think that such complexity of life was the outcome of an unintended accidents which occurred in the scale of billions of years, i don't call it science but rubbish, just my opinion.

I agree that studying how life evolved is a great thing but to think that no one behind it is the silliest thing to believe in.

In a scientific theory there are variables. It can be created in a day, or a million years. One should just learn generic creationism, irrespective if it is a day, or a million years, and irrespective of whether God or the devil did it. How are things chosen in the universe?

Disciple, Yeah, give or take, the scientists say 14,000 years, my OP story wasn't researched scientifically, I was pulling number from of the top of my head, my sea level change was off by about 800%!!!

and Mohammad I wasn't indicating this is true, just theorizing something that could be taught in schools as Hey, its even likely that evolution is God creating, as opposed to the scientists random occurrences.having nothing to do with God.

Noah's flood according to the bible which says it was a worldwide flood doesn't make any sense to me.

Jacques Cousteau once said that if the sea trenches were filled in and the highest mountains removed the whole earth would be covered by water for thousands of feet. The scriptures seem to be saying that the continents came up out of the water. There is the idea that the continents did fit together and have separated. The ring of fire indicates volcanic activity and a fracture line around the earth.

If the earth was smaller then gravity would be less but where has all the extra material come from to make the earth the size it is now.
Where does matter come from anyhow.
If gravity was less how would this affect dating methods and animal size.
Population growth indicates a shorter rather than longer time span for human existence.
Mutation in the cell suggests a degradation where humans are running out of time.
Dinosaurs of some size existed at the same time as humans.
Footprints have been found in sedimentary layers of both human and dinosaur.

Fear God, Well the rise in sea level all around the world was the same, almost all the people then lived close to sea level, which is now underwater, so the flood would have been worldwide, and the rise in level may have gone up much more than 400 ft then settled back down to 400 feet as it says in the Genesis account, I think some people in high altitude survived, but quite likely Noah story has some truth, all over the world different races, different religions, all have flood story, my mother studied it when I was in high school, Alaskan eskimo have flood story, Babylonian have flood story, on and on. I think descendants of Cain, Asian people survived the flood near high Mt Everest Mountains. South American, North American natives survived the flood, not descended of Noah, enough for now
