Interspecies Marriage

That doesn't appear to be evidence for his specific claim.

Hmmm....for some reason I am getting the impression that you're switching into lawyer mode here.
Are you suggesting that the only evidence you would accept is someone saying 'Allowing gays to marry is as bad as allowing men to marry animals', or similar?

"Lawyer mode"!?
Them's fight'n words!
Here was the claim.....
Before the federal legalization of gay marriage, opposition to gay marriage was actually correlated with legality of cousin marriage and bestiality:
You didn't back up this claim.
Perhaps you were thinking of a different one?

Hmm...I put a quote from Ben Carson in post #91. Also mentioned an Australian pollie (Cory Bernardi) who made almost the exact same comments, and ending up resigning over it (which, better or worse, suggests something about our different communities!).

Like I said, it's not them saying 'Gay marriage is the same as bestiality' but they both go the 'this is the thin edge of a wedge which could lead to bestiality' route. To me, the manner in which they do that is either stategic or an admission that they see both as sinful, and therefore unsupportable. Even if it's the latter, why choose those particular sins to tie together?

I agree with you about the error of linking those things.
The other poster's claim was different.

I think there may be room for discussion if he had said let's discuss polygamy, but interspecies marriage simply makes no sense

I'm not going to give you the satisfaction, so Go, prick thy face, and over-red thy fear, Thou lily-liver’d boy.
Heh...two Shakespearean insults in a single day.

How is that winning?

NOT giving him the satisfaction would mean NOT replying to the thread..
Right?

Well, you see, @Revoltingest has a strange and rather troubling sense of humour. Unfortunately for me, I seem to understand it, and quite often find similar things funny. I sense he'll see the irony in what I'm doing and at least allow himself a brief smirk at the silly Australian.

Hey, welcome to RF, by the way. Not sure we've come across each other before?

Yeah, he's a massive trouble-maker, but somehow manages to achieve that through humour rather than nastiness. It's his best quality.
His worst quality is his lack of care for delicate sensibilities when re-arranging his kilt.

Now we've gotten over homosexual marriage now its time we discuss interspecies marriage.i say we being to act like responsible people and accept the reality of zoophilia. For example if a man living a lonely life falls in love with his favourite animal or a women having impressed with the greatness of her horses penis and falls in love who are we to judge them. And isn't god all about love.So i want to see interspecies marriages taking place at the churches right now. What do you think?Hasn't the time come we drop our prejudices about zoophilia?

The prenup is concerning. 40 bales of hay? A lifetime of free doggie daycare? A silo of bird seed? I don't know what prenup there would be for your lion or pet scorpion?
