Interview with a psychopath

I just want to thank you for being open enough to get a look into how you think. You truly seem like a man that doesn't give a @@@@ if we think well of you or not and that frees you up to be honest about how you feel. It's downright fascinating to hear your perspective.

Why does a lack of empathy or guilt make someone more inclined to hate and want to hurt others?
It doesn't. A psychopath isn't inherently a sadist though the two are found together because, well, if the pain of others gets you off it's hard to indulge if the suffering of said others bothers you. But not all psychopaths are sadists. As far as hating people, they don't hate any more than you or others do. The difference is that a psychopath is less likely to care what others think of their opinions on the matter.

None other than making me far less risk-averse than the standard. ASPDs don't feel fear, or at least not in the way others do. It's less "afraid" and more "I would really this rather not happen". It's why we tend to be extremely cool under pressure. We don't care.
Considering the above I would not be surprised if many of the worlds war heroes were not in fact ASPD's.

There has as of late, been a rash of threads relating to socio and psychopathy. These are not medical terms, the proper being anti-social personality disorder. I grow tired of correcting individual misconceptions, so here is a place for the curious to ask. I will however note that I am a borderline case. There are some batteries of tests regarding where in the anti-social personality disorder spectrum you fall, and the total average of mine classify me as a borderline case. Basically, I feel some empathy on my own, but not quite as much as the normal person. I am on a medication for it(well, it's a medication that was meant for something else but has shown to work for some of the symptoms of the disorder) which boosts my ability to feel empathy more. Still not enough to take me off the 'borderline' list, but it's something.

I do not take it all the time, however that's not because I'm shirking my meds, it's because I build up a tolerance and by having 'dry periods' my tolerance works back down.

So, ask away. Whatever crosses your mind, I do not care. Though note that this is only applicable to me, and my life experiences & unique form of the disorder.
When you say you don't have much empathy, what do you mean? How do you realize something like that about yourself? Can you give us an example of a situation where you acted or thought very differently than a person with normal empathy?

I didn't notice it, I was tested during an evaluation.

Define reasonably sized, and also my funds & talent pool.
Well, I would say a reasonably sized army could take over a country if necessary, although it would take some effort. You can fill in the details however you like, as long as it wouldn't be easy to get the job done. Not impossible, but things would occasionally require special arrangements.

Take over a small African country, preferably one with diamond mines. Make German the official government language. That is not just me stroking myself for my Germanic culture fetish, it's also about putting my government above any tribal or such disputes. Then we go "cruel but fair". Pax your tithe and get protection. If you can't pay, you work. You'll be fed. Petty cruelty has never made for useful state management, after all. I'd like to live like Caligula for as long as possible.

Hm... interesting. I'm guessing you went the most practical route to get yourself a comfortable life, am I right?
