Iranian woman faces being stoned to death for adultery | News.com.au

Here we go again.

Can Muslims seriously expect the west to adopt and incorporate sharia law when once again we have a splendid example of its barbarity and brutality.

Cheers

Simple. If you don't then you will end up with this and pages and pages of no end in sight:

BBC News - Armed police seal off town in hunt for Tyneside gunman

Armed police are searching for a man newly released from prison who they believe shot his ex-girlfriend and killed her new partner on Tyneside.
Raoul Moat, from Newcastle, was released from a Durham jail on Thursday having served a sentence for assault.
Police believe the attack, in Scafell, Birtley, Gateshead, at about 0240 BST, was motivated by a "grudge" against the dead man.
A woman remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Northumbria Police have warned people not to approach Moat, saying he could be dangerous.
Police have confirmed that all the people involved in the incident were linked.

You have an entire sharia nation ie Iran, are you seriously saying this is not sharia law?

Cheers

since Qur'an gives half of the same punishment of adultery to servants and there is no such a thing as "half of stoning to death", yes, it is obvious it is not Sharia

You know, Tiapan. I never understood why Muslims are so stubborn in their religion. 90% of Muslims I know are ultrareligious. They want to live in our societies, which are secular, democratic, liberal, and multicultural. But they demand special rights, the foremost of which are to cling to a supposed way of life which is theocratic, undemocratic, liberal, and monocultural - the direct opposite of everything that the West stands for. The opposite of everything that allowed me, the son of Hindu parents from India to attend law school in what was once a white, Christian nation.

I don't want Christian laws. I don't want Islamic laws. I personally just want laws. Secularism is the only way we will ever achieve equality in society. That's the way it should be.

And 301ouncer, I don't see any correlation between your story and what's happening in Iran. Did anybody in the story force the Iranian authorities to kill an innocent woman?

I'm not going to blame this one on islam, but I will say that some people have a real brutal way of practicing islam. I think the people should get the blame for this one.

That story has nothing whatsoever to do with the OP.

don't deflect from the argument at hand; it makes you look like you can't explain the act.

We had an Islamic group of TV last night abusing our secular democracy and demanding an Islamic state.

The funniest thing was they were only allowed to speak their mind because of secular law. When asked what would happen if 1000 Christians wen't to Afghanistan under the taliban the idiot refused to answer.

Hilarious, but terrible for muslims who come here and live like we do and i know some of them personally.

This is not sharia, this is what happens when a group of maniacs get hold of authority and turn a country into this miserable place for people to suffer oppression.

"Stoning" as wrong as it is, is supposedly for adultery, not for murder. Which from the article i understood thats whats she's getting stoned for. Which just goes to show you that they are making up rules.

Huh I didn't know stoning was rare in Iran. Hanging is just as bad since it is never always quick or precisely accurate in breaking a person's neck, some just hang for minutes until they've completely suffocated. But stoning would be the worst way to go imo.

According to that link, It have been 2 years since the last stoning capital punishment in shia iran. Capital punishment is capital punishment. There is no ICECREAM served. You should know that already in your secular socity.

In the caliphate only 1 such capital punishment was carried out in 6 centuries.

In the secular system you have indeed pages and pages of on average of days and hours and not centuries of boyfriend/partner/husband committing this samilar type household punishment on their innocent family members.

Pages of pages of men killing their spouses for nothing else but because they indulged in adultress affaris.

Why should you worry? huh? I mean the only person would worry about this type of punishment is someone who indulges in such adultress behaviour or extra marital affairs.

We are not all like this.

so.... if adulterous women were all stoned to death, there would be fewer adulterous women, and fewer boyfriends going on killing sprees? is that your point?

hmmmmm.

so... the crime rate is really that low? or just not reported?

so... blame the victim - I couldn't help myself, I had to kill her - she cheated on me!!!

Sorry, I think women have it better in the US.
