Occupy Wall Street Protesters Maced Pepper Sprayed by NYPD Police - YouTube

Reporters from Fox News pepper sprayed and beaten... and these guys are trying to make the protesters look bad! You would think Fox would get an escort not a beat down... but it seems that police just hate cameras and that second amendment stuff all around.

ps... I wonder how Fox News will report on that?

Just stumbled upon an update on that pepper spray video. The two women are suing the cop who sprayed them. And, surprisingly, the NYPD has decided not to provide a defense for the cop.

Why do police always endorse republicans?
Do they?
Pubs seem more law & order though.

Ya know, if I pepper sprayd a couple gals, the cops would sure do more to me than take away 10 vacation days.
They're soft on crime when they're the ones committing it.

Orlando's IRIS cameras help nab suspected pot smoker | News - Home
Haywood was handcuffed and ordered to open his mouth but refused, so an officer tried for 30 seconds to use pressure points on his jaw to open his mouth, the affidavit said. Officers said Haywood swallowed the joint during the incident and marijuana could be smelled on him, the report stated.
Is the underlined portion a doublespeak way of saying "torture"?

A good ending did happen here. An elderly man with advanced Alzheimer was tased by police because he wouldn't cooperate, and after a committee hearing of the incident the cop was fired. Of course his attorney is going through with the appeals, because I guess apparently an old guy who is frail, lives at a nursing home, and doesn't have much time left to live posses just such a terrible threat to someone who is supposed to be in good physical shape.

Judging by the reports you see on the News Media police presence is commonplace ~ unless you were real far out in the country/wilderness.

D.C. orders ‘Dirty Asian’ punch off bar’s menu - District of DeBonis - The Washington Post
The punch, a fruity vodka concoction, was whipped up by the H Street NE bar’s owner, Tony Tomelden, as an admittedly crude but satirical tribute to D.C. Council member Marion Barry’s controversial comments this year criticizing Asian shop owners and Filipino nurses. “The Ward 8 Special,” he called it. “I put it up there for a reason,” Tomelden said. “He gets away with this stuff continuously.”
There’s more: Drawn on a chalkboard behind the bar was an advertisement for the punch featuring an Asian caricature — bald, with slanted eyes and buck teeth. “No tickee, no punchee,” the sign says.
As I said, admittedly crude. To many, just plain offensive. But illegal?
The sign was removed Friday after a city agency threatened to drag Tomelden before the D.C. Commission on Human Rights in a rare display of the city’s little-known power to regulate speech in places of public accommodation.
