Trump is the only choice for anyone that values liberty, freedom, and doesn't want everyone to have to live as a serf.

That's not exactly true, as voting libertarian is plausibly for more value on liberty and freedom.

Had you said 'viable choice,' I probably wouldn't have responded.

But agree with @Draka that the 'lesser of two evils' logic, which leads to 'most viable candidate' type rhetoric is likely to take a major downturn this election cycle. Personally, I do rejoice on that, but wish it would've happened a few election cycles before this one. Stakes seem higher now and voting for two 'evils' in the past 4 election cycles didn't help lower the stakes.

Well, I think largely the reason to consider Trump is he is against the establishment of both parties can't stand him. You may see him as an evil, but the fact that they fear him there is a reason to consider him. People are always griping about how things are and when a candidate that promotes change comes into play they go, "no no, I don't want that.. not from him" It's terrible how weak the citizens of this country have become that they allow the mainstream media to shape how they think. They don't fear Trump because he's going to "destroy the country", they fear him because he will destroy the globalist agenda, and kick the slave masters out of the seat. If every time someone comes along that moves towards progress (and all progress comes with risks) we back away from them we dug the damn whole we lie in.

People voting in national elections never fail to show up to me as looking through rose colored glasses about 'hope' and 'change.'

Like earlier, someone said 90% of what comes out of Trump's mouth is (whatever) and I'm like that's true for every candidate since I've been alive. Knowing how gullible the voters are, why wouldn't you promise everything (including the moon)? Can always blame Congress after the election as to why your promises were not met.

There are things that Bernie addresses concerning the environment that I am interested in (although I don't buy the global warming hype), Trump doesn't even address those issues though the Republican platform does to some degree. I see Bernie and Trump both as progressives, but I see Trump more focused on the immediate need problems, as well as the long-term socioeconomic issues. To me, both platforms would have value just different ones. Both agree on healthcare reform (almost exactly actually), etc.

So, the question is does building the wall a sticking point for people? Like, such a big deal that they won't vote for him? Well, that's ridiculous, because people who live the border are behind it nearly regardless of their race or origin. I guess it's easy to be "against it" while you live in a posh white neighborhood or in the middle of Detroit, but it's silly -- people who live the border get it. They'd overwhelmingly vote for it, so what is everyone else's problem? For most in America, it doesn't even matter but it does for these folks. http://www.esquire.com/news-politics/a44782/donald-trump-the-wall/

Bernie has destroyed himself, so I wouldn't vote for him at this point. He would be a weak and ineffectual President, and no nation in the world would think he would be an equal. I don't hate him, I love parts of his platform, but he dug his own hole. He lost the race for himself. I agree with his platform sans immigration, and I'm pretty much with Trump minus the wall. Could Bernie be a valuable asset such as a cabinet member or some office? Hell yes, but President? Nah, that ship has sailed.

Ok. Good to know your true position on Bernie.

Its not that I don't mind you rooting for Trump, but the objection I have is biased advertising trying to be disguised in a debate forum. If you're not going to try to be objective, then I have no need to really debate you on any matters. I believe that a fair statement to assert?

So concerning this thread. The objective statement to suggest is, if one's candidate is not the front runner would you vote for the opposing front runner? Why wouldn't you place your prize candidate in this position too? I'm sure many GOP voters could possibly be thinking of Hillary now that Trump is the front runner? Isn't that fair to suggest too? Heck, even past GOP winners that were presidents aren't endorsing Trump. The GOP establishment makes it clear, it wants little to do with Trump.

Honestly, I like Trump only because he was an independent being able to rise onto an existing platform. I truly wish that someone can do the same against the Democrats. I want to see more independents rise and have more spotlight.

Still, Trump is the worse of two fools.

Just wow. The blinders are on this one really tight. Large blinders. Enormous blinders.

Oh, and to kind of quote a tweet I saw the other day...Since Bernie isn't going to be the Dem candidate I'll vote for Trump...and since the store is out of my favorite beer I'll just drink bleach.
Bleach 2016! The only candidate who'll clean up our borders and our insides! Right after we're done making our insides our outsides, that is.

Anyone who claimed to be a Bernie supporter then votes for Trump is an unabashed moron. The two could not be farther from each other on the issues. Clinton isn't great either, but at least she's in the ball park on some of the issues.

I see Trump as almost the polar opposite of Bernie. Dethrone the 1%, vote for the .01%. Reasonable immigration policies, ban them all. Government health care and state college, get off your *** you bums.

I can't think of anything they agree on. Although who knows? Trump could always return to his liberal ways. I wouldn't put it past him if he thought he would benefit.

Provide the evidence that the Clinton camp or "the establishment" did such things, causing Sanders to lose.
Please use google. Thanks.
So you cannot cite any evidence to substantiate your claims that Sanders was unfairly denied the nomination.

I don't understand why people hold such beliefs that just have no connection to reality.

Provide the evidence of fraud and voter suppression in the Democratic primaries. I am unaware of any such illegal activities.
I don't know of any either.

Both candidates well knew what the rules were going in. Frankly, I don't like the rules and I voted for Bernie, but I don't feel he was cheated in any way.

Which rules do you not like? Frankly I don't know enough about the rules to say whether I like them or not. But certainly there is no problem or obstacle to the party changing any rule that members believe is unfair to any candidate.

Bernie kept citing the rule about NY where independents don't get to vote in the primary. Seeing that he relied a bit on independents, that's one rule that significantly impacted him. There were also a couple/few states where he won either majority of the vote or majority of the regular delegates but lost on delegates (after gaining majority of votes) or lost on super delegates. I think he got screwed, but not really all that much different than any non-winning primary candidate in the last hundred years or so.

Here's hoping Hillary gets indicted and Bernie feels so screwed, he's like "screw you DNC, I'm running Green Party. Good luck!"

I think the party has to make a decision as to whether it is going to be willing to go just with the popular vote versus relying partially on the super-delegates appointed by the party leaders. The rules set up prior to the primaries should be followed, imo, because changing them at this point simply is like changing the rules of a baseball game late in the game so as to end up favoring one team over the other.

Didn't he take some oath swearing that he would not run in any other party or make an independent run at the beginning of this whole circus anyway?

So your answer to this is, you're lazy? :p

The votes are currently being investigated and the person doing it is a specialist in determining whether voting fraud happened, he says he see signs that it did and he's working with the FBI and other government groups to obtain physical ballots and count them.

I was a Jeb voter, and I am going to Hillary rather than to Trump.

So I am guessing that the Bernie voters will find it easy to switch over to Hillary.

Trump is a dump. Trump is not fit to be POTUS. Trump has zero political experience. Trump is a thief. Trump lies. Trump defrauds.

Since Trump has hijacked the GOP there is no other choice than to vote for Hillary now.
