Is Christianity the easiest religion?

I'm not sure why my religion matter's, I grew up Roman catholic, 16 years of CCD studies, Alter Boy 2 years, Lector 3 years, became unsatisfied, Tried Baptist, Greek Orthodox catholic, Unitarian, I then studied the TAO, and Budism, stuck my head in most religious doctrine during my seaching period. Was a strict Atheist for a little bit, then Agnostic with a belief in a God just not one supported by any religion, and now I consider myself a Realistic Atheist but who knows what I'll be tomorrow I am open to change.

Not sure if your Abraham statement is about Christianity or Not, but I don't consider statements from the Old Testament to be applicable to Christs teaching. In the Old Testament you are still waiting for the messiah to save you. The New Testament is how you will be saved emulating the life of the savior. Anyone that claims to be a Christian should read the Imitation of Christ as I mentioned in one of my other posts. It is sanctioned by most Christian religions, just not considered Doctrine. It is a small book easy to read.
John 8:39

39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

1) Yes, my Abraham statement is about Christianity, Yeshua/Jesus said to the Scribes and Pharisees if you were Abrahams children you would do the Works of Abraham.

2) The notion that the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament is not Applicable to Christ's teaching comes from the Universal Roman Catholic Church. If you want to find the Truth you have to Break the Shackles of Roman Catholic Dogma and Influence.

3) To be a True Christian only the Holy Scripture/Bible from Genesis to Revelation is needed, although other Christian books can be useful. Elohim/God wrote all the Books. Why is a Realistic Atheist promoting the Imitation of Christ? Are you practising the teachings of the Imitation of Christ? Given that you are a Realistic Atheist, why would you Practice the teachings of the Imitation of Christ when you Do Not Believe in Elohim/God?

Are you able to provide examples that the Rape and Murder of a Child, according to the Bible, is Not Pure/Real Evil?
One that pops into my head first is the raping of young girls after a battle where they had just finished murdering these girls' families. Then there's the fact that a man would be betrothed to some kid. Even if they wait until age of majority to have sex, it's still creepy.

Are you asserting that the Bible does not teach Sin is Evil?
"Sin" is conveniently whatever the author thinks at the time:
Slavery: Bad if it's Hebrews, fine if it's everyone else.
Rape: Fine if it's the protagonist
Murder: Fine if it's the protagonist
Genocide: Bad if it's Jews, fine if it's everyone else
Theft: Bad if it's Jews, fine if it's everyone else

Numbers 31:15-18

15 And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?

16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the Lord in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the Lord.

17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.

18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

It sound like you are speaking of an example in Numbers 31. In World War 2 and other Wars Children and Women were Raped and Murdered or Kept as War Booty. To Christians and Jews practising Judaism, how do you explain Numbers 31 to a Non-Believer?

You are talking about Double Standards. Isn't Double Standards the Way of the World?

In the World it's All About Power and Not Really about Moral Integrity. Do you agree with this?

I would disagree. If religion determines your identity you really don't understand religion.

I disagree with both statements. In my opinion if religion defines your identity you do not understand religion. Religion is a path you take to get your self(identity) closer to your god. You are a human trying to dwell in the house of your lord. You are not a religion.

First, In my opinion, Religion is not identity, it is a path. The surest way to falling is to believe religion is your identity. I was seeking but have found my answer's, however I have kept myself open because of my own bias and lack of complete knowledge. As to Satan or any evil God, If your God is all powerful then Satan has a purpose or your God could destroy him. Simply put the Christian God wants humans to have and exercise choice. They want humans to choose to be their disciples and this is Satan's purpose to give you the ability to prove yourself worthy. Satan advocates for God. Satan from the bible had many chances to eliminate Gods favorites and instead only chose to tempt them. In fact in The book of Job Satan is told by God that he is not allowed to Kill Job. In Christianity it is your Job to choose to follow Christ's path yourself. To chose you need to have and understand why the other options are not right.

Second yes I enjoy a lot of Christs teaching and am Sad that the church gives up on the Hardest ones. I also enjoy the teaching of the Tao and follow them as well. Abraham's God is the God of punishment and testing Abraham Kill your own son, Jonah live in a whale, Noah build an Arc everything else needs to die(Always wondered what sins the animals had), Saul leave the village look back and your Salt, Job prove you are worthy of my love. Jesus is about Love and Forgiveness and a path to heaven. Practicing the Old testament does not lead to Heaven but to a Saviour that will then bring you to the promise land. Is Jesus that Saviour or not. Did Jesus not open a path to heaven or not. If Jesus is your Saviour then it is the New Testament that matters. If you don't believe Jesus is the Saviour then like the Hebrew's you should definitely follow the Old testament.

The Religion/Path that you take Forms/Determines your Identity and is Your Identity. Your Religion is your purpose of Existence and what you practice Daily. Atheism is a Religion.

Elohim/God is Omni. Satan/Devil is Elohim/God in its Lowest Form. Elohim/God has given Man/Woman Choice to Serve the Good Side of Elohim/God or the Evil Side of Elohim/God.

Your teachings about the Hebrew Scriptures/Old Testament are the teachings of the Earthly Universal Roman Catholic Church.

I Am Christian Gnostic Transcended Hebrew Scriptures/Old Testament and New Testament/Greek Scriptures Dichotomy. The Holy Scriptures/Bible from Genesis to Revelation is a Unified Whole.

Gnosticism

Gnosticism (from Ancient Greek: γνωστικός, romanized: gnōstikós, Koine Greek: [ɣnostiˈkos], 'having knowledge') is a collection of religious ideas and systems that coalesced in the late 1st century AD among Jewish and early Christian sects. These various groups emphasized personal spiritual knowledge (gnosis) above the proto-orthodox teachings, traditions, and authority of religious institutions.

"Christianity is easier to follow than Islam or Judaism"

To what extent is this true?

I mean the Jews have over 600 commandments and the Moslems have to ritually pray five times a day and fast during Ramadan

There are also no dietary rules and no need for men to be circumcised

I am not asking if it is easy:

I am asking if it is the easiest religion to follow, out of those with whom it is usually lumped together with

I'd be interested to hear from people who are knowledgeable about religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism - do you think Christianity is easier than those religions?
I think nothing easier than Hinduism. One can be an atheist and a Hindu like I am. I have not prayed for upward of 30 years. No circumcision, no dietary restrictions (whether one will eat beef or not, depends on the region that one is from. Minister Rijiju does not mind beef. In some regions beef is prohibited, in others it is not, basically because of politics). Few rules, marriage among siblings or first cousins is not allowed, and people are supposed to fulfill their duties. That is about all. Rituals, do it is good, not doing is also good. No compulsion of worshiping a particular God or Goddess, nor to believe that creation and evolution were because of any God. Hinduism is like Linux, have it the way you want it.

How is Christianity easy to follow? Any Alabamian wakes up under St Andrews cross from Scotland.

Originally, all of the Reformation churches used this name (or the name Evangelical) to distinguish themselves from the “unreformed,” or unchanged, Roman Catholic church. After the great controversy among these churches over the Lord’s Supper (after 1529), the followers of Martin Luther began to use the name Lutheran as a specific name, and the name Reformed became associated with the Calvinistic churches (and also for a time with the Church of England). Eventually the name Presbyterian, which denotes the form of church polity used by most of the Reformed churches, was adopted by the Calvinistic churches of British background. The modern Reformed churches thus trace their origins to the Continental Calvinistic churches that retained the original designation. The Reformed and Presbyterian churches are treated jointly in the article Reformed and Presbyterian churches.

With the supreme control of ecclesiastical affairs in our own hands, we may be able, in some competent measure, to consummate this result. In subjection to a foreign power, we could no more accomplish it than the Church in the United States could have been developed in dependence upon the Presbyterian Church of Scotland. The difficulty there would have been, not the distance of Edinburgh from New York, Philadelphia or Charleston, but the difference in the manners, habits, customs and ways of thinking, the social, civil and political institutions of the people. These same difficulties exist in relation to the Confederate and United States, and render it eminently proper that the Church in each should be as separate and independent as the Governments.

And here we may venture to lay before the Christian world our views as a Church, upon the subject of slavery. We beg a candid hearing.

The Calvinistic Churches of Switzerland are distinct from the Reformed Church of France. The Presbyterians of Ireland belong to a different Church from the Presbyterians of Scotland, and the Presbyterians of this country constitute a Church, in like manner, distinct from all other Churches on the globe. That the division into national Churches, that is. Churches bounded by national lines, is, in the present condition of human nature, a benefit, seems to us too obvious for proof. It realizes to the Church Catholic all the advantages of a division of labor. It makes a Church organization homogeneous and compact — it stimulates holy rivalry and zeal — it removes all grounds of suspicion and jealousy on the part of the State. What is lost in expansion is gained in energy. The Church Catholic, as thus divided, and yet spiritually one, divided, but not rent, is a beautiful illustration of the great philosophical principle which pervades all nature — the co-existence of the one with the many.

There is no schism where there is no breach of charityChurches may be perfectly at one in every principle of faith and order j and yet geographically distinct, and mutually independent. As the unity of the human race is not disturbed by its division into countries and nations, so the unity of the spiritual seed of Christ is neither broken nor impaired by separation and division into various Church constitutions.

At this point every Alabamian need venture to me the public charity manifest concerning Korean Presbyterian Church Abroad.

How can the lack of religion be a religion? Something cannot be x and not x at the same time.
Psalm 51:5

5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Atheism is Satanism. Satanism is a Religion. Satanism is The Totally Devoted War Against Elohim/God Or the Unbelief in Elohim/God. Satanism is Religious Worship/Devotion of the Satan/Devil. Man/Woman Are Born Evil Satanists Religious Practitioners/Worshippers Children of the Devil/Satan from the Womb because of Adam's Inheritance.

Satanism

Satanism is a group of ideological and philosophical beliefs based on Satan. Although several historical precedents exist, the contemporary religious practice of Satanism began with the founding of the atheistic Church of Satan by Anton LaVey in the United States in 1966. Prior to that time, Satanism existed primarily as the subject of accusations by various Christian groups toward perceived ideological opponents rather than a self-identity or expressed religious belief. Satanism, and the concept of Satan, has also been used by artists and entertainers for symbolic expression.

However you still have to do it yourself whereas in Christianity Jesus does it for you.

Christians are mother-tongue speakers of 82% of the world’s languages, compared with Muslims, the next highest, speaking 25% of the world’s languages. In languages 11-20 one finds Amharic (Ethiopia), Korean, Yoruba and Igbo (Nigeria), Cebuano (Philippines), and Tamil and Malayalam (India).

Although these languages are still predominantly Christian (Russian 91.8%, English 72.1%, Spanish 93.7%, German 68.3%), more languages from around the world are becoming largely Christian languages or have greater numbers of speakers who are Christians.

James 2:19

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Further to post #132: Is Christianity the easiest religion?

Satanists Pretend to be Unbelievers of Elohim/God to Spread and Maintain Enemies and Unbelievers of Elohim/God. Satanists Proclaim Belief in Elohim/God to Spread and Maintain Enemies and Unbelievers of Elohim/God. Apart from a Few hundred/thousand Elect, every person on the planet is practising the Religion of Satanism.

True Satanists Know that Elohim/God IS and are in a Total War Against Elohim/God that has been ongoing for thousands of years.

Satanism

noun
1. any of a highly diverse group of religious, philosophical, or countercultural practices centered around Satan, either as a deity or a nontheistic symbol of enlightenment, individualism, or ethical egoism.: Compare Luciferianism.

2. a deliberate inversion of Christian rites in which Satan is worshiped.

3. Also sa·tan·ism . diabolical or satanic disposition, behavior, or activity.

I believe atheists believe there is no God. That is a religious belief. However I do not believe atheists practice godlessness as a religion but simply live their lives according to their own inclinations.
Only some atheists believe there is no God (which is a positive statement, not a negative one). This subset of atheists do indeed have to submit evidence for their claim.

But a lot of atheists do not have that belief. They simply lack a belief in God. Do you see the difference? This subset of atheists have no obligation to prove anything.

"Negative atheism, also called weak atheism and soft atheism, is any type of atheism where a person does not believe in the existence of any deities but does not necessarily explicitly assert that there are none. Positive atheism, also called strong atheism and hard atheism, is the form of atheism that additionally asserts that no deities exist.[1][2][3] Sometimes positive atheism goes by the term gnostic atheism to contrast with agnostic atheism, which is more correlated with weak atheism, and to stand opposite Gnostic theism on simple charts mapping different belief systems."
