Is hell necessary for giving punishment?

Punishment is not necessary. We learn all our lessons through pleasure and suffering in this world. At least reincarnation allows for a person to learn and be redeemed by their own realisations and maturity; hell just tortures a person. It's rather pointless.

scaring not possible in this world? to me scaring is a kind of mental suffering.
what i mean exactly is, does anything exist in hell which cannot be experienced from here?

I don't believe in hell. It doesn't surprise me at all that religions have used tales of horrendous, unending torture to keep the masses in line....

I feel sorry for people who have a strong belief in punishment after death. It must be quite a burden to live life with the fear that eternal torture could one day become a reality. If not for themselves, for others.
Anything that anybody has ever imagined about hell is also possible in this world. Hell is just a place that is set up specifically for the torture that we can imagine. But much worse I guess. Apparently. At least, that's the idea. I believe very strongly that it is ficticious.

Hell and it's suffering are not the same as the earthly suffering within the world.
Hell is a state which is affects someone only after the physical death.
The place and suffering are not worldly.
The suffering in hell is something earned the worldly suffering is usually caused by man and Satan ruling within it.

The actual christian definition of hell is that its a place of spiritual hopelessness, of suffering, ignore any pre-conceptions you have of "punishments". Bassically look at it like this, People who do not worship god in this life, wont be accepted in heaven and is placed somewhere god is. Now the reason the people suffer, is they realise they have made a grave mistake and are devastated and suffer for eternity because they are without god. I would like to point out this is a religious view not mine.
The modernised view of hell, and satan, was changed in the medieval ages, via something called Dantes Inferno, this actually used the pagan god Pan, and attributed her to satan, before this satan is portrayed as a kind of loyer of heaven.
Anyway Ill leave it at this for now, if I am wanted to explain more, I can.

But seriously, the same way "good deeds are their own reward," so are acts against G-d their own punishment. The act of disobeying G-d brings you further away from Him, and nothing is worse than that, ultimately. The "fire and brimstone" stuff is just used to scare people who don't really understand.

I took it as meaning that the people in hell are our bbq. So no chickens silly, just delicious humans

I agree. Says so in the Bible, but obviously some don't accept and/or believe the Bible.
