The Adiyogi Statue has been recognized as the "Largest Bust Sculpture" by Guinness World Records.
Bigger, loftier, costlier, encrusted with gems, egos, human foibles. I don't think Shiva cares for that. That money could have been used for better purpose.

They have done a lot of philanthropic projects , especially rehabilitating of villagers in the aftermath of the 2004 tsunami and Project Greenhands .

It was the inauguration of the giant Shiva statue however that attracted your idol Narendra Modi's attention himself. Presumably such publicity will help spread the teachings of Sadhguru better.

If you want to debate whether Sadhguru is a fraudster who is twisting the teachings of Hinduism as per his subjective interpretations and not as per scriptural teachings, or for any other reason, you can open a debate in Same Faiths forum as laid out by Brickjectivity.

Brilliant and insightful article by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev stating that Hinduism is not an 'ism' but a way of life.
I would always lend an ear to Sadhguru for he speaks with much insight. But there is such a thing as being a Hindu and if that is so there must be a thing called Hinduism, by definition. He says a Hindu is someone who lives in the geographic area south of the Himalayas and east of Sindh. But it is a cultural thing as well, in which the diversity of religious thoughts and beliefs are accommodated.
