Is life freaky or what

Photonic

Ad astra!
Puddles can't think, silly.

12Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Col. 1

You seem to have a problem comprehending analogies.

Might want to look into that, it's a pretty important tool of communication for humans.

So regardless of your view of the origin of life, the purpose of life, an afterlife, god or no god...and I have views on these subjects...do you find life to be freaky? I mean think about it. I'm sitting here as an intelligence aware of my existence, looking outside of my body, aware of my surroundings. If I think about it too much and too deeply, I get totally freaked out about it. Why does something exist? Why not nothing? But something surely exists and I'm part of it. Freaky. Thoughts?

I agree. Putting aside "what is?" and "why is?" and "how is?", is all by itself should be enough to freak out anybody who's paying attention.

And the freaks shall inherit the earth.

If there was a thing that "is" but doesn't "do", I'm not sure we'd ever be able to know of it, since it wouldn't "react" to stimuli, "reflect" light, etc.

Assuming you mean "is" as "being", if it exists it always is doing, thus you got it backwards.

Should be "Only if you think anything "does" if it "isn't".

How can an object simply exist without doing something? Even the particles of our basic foundation vibrate, rotate, or act in some way.

That's why what I am saying is that a thing-in-itself cannot exist and therefore "is" means nothing.

A chair, for example, does something if you sit on it. :)
