Is the Qur'an an Inferior Copy of the Bible?

Look in Suwar al-Baqarah and Imran. The word ummi is actually quite clear in other contexts. Essentially it is best explained as gentile unless you belief in the Hanif lineage

I remember there was a verse saying Muhammad never wrote anything with His write hand before:

"And you [o Muhammad] did not recite before it any book, nor did you transcribe one with your right hand, for then could those who say untrue things have doubted." 29:48

29.48. You did not (O Messenger) read of any book before it (the revelation of this Qur'ān), nor did you write one with your right (or left) hand. For then, those who have ever sought to disprove the truth might have a reason to doubt (it).

You beat me to it..:)

This primarily stems from the fact that most Qur'anists find it untrue that Muhammad did not write the Qur'an

I don't know what others believe. I know most "Submitters" (followers of Rashad Khalifa) believe he did write the Quran with his own hands. However, I think it's far more likely, in fact, almost certain, that Prophet Muhammad was unlettered and did not WRITE the Quran with his own hands. That's based on what the Quran says. Not to mention, the literacy rate in ancient Makkah was probably not very high. Peace.

Well, I wouldn't say the Quran is 'inferior' to the Bible or other way around, that requires a 'judgment' and that's not what either book was written for and of course as judgment subject to bias.
But....if you mean to imply is there a connection between the Quran and both the OT and NT then I'd have to say definitely....yes.
When I read the Quran I was quite struck by how much it references the other 2 works (both OT and NT).
This may not be that surprising as we know the OT was written in the 500'sBC and the NT by about 100AD, the Quran came along much later about 640AD...so both earlier works had been around a long time and were well known when Quran was written.
What also struck me was how in some parts the Quran, although respecting the OT and NT, the religious figures therein etc. seemed to be and even held itself out to be a deliberate 'correction' of the 2 earlier works.....To correct something...you have to know it, read, study it...before writing Quran correct?
I wish we knew more about religion in pre Islam Arabia (100AD-600AD) and how the Quran was written down in the 600'sAD.
