It's simple. Atheists do not believe that god exists in any form. Agnostics, on the other hand, do not believe one way or another.
I consider myself an agnostic because it is just possible a deity might exist somewhere. I don't believe, if that is the case, any human is in contact with it. An atheist believes there is no possibility of a deity existing.
There is also the principle of being agnostic/atheistic about particular a god, gods or subset of gods (as defined for example by their type, such as anthropomorphic deities)
Atheism is more about belief...or not believing in the existence of deity/deities.
Agnosticism is about knowledge...about dealing with the question of knowing or uncertainty.
It is important to distinguish knowing and believing.
The difference is atheists can't be theist but agnostics can.Well is there?

Actually atheism is a position of belief, while agnostic is a position pertaining to knowledge.
Not quite.I consider myself an agnostic because it is just possible a deity might exist somewhere. I don't believe, if that is the case, any human is in contact with it. An atheist believes there is no possibility of a deity existing.
Mmmmmmm......cheeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzze!For the love of cheese, will anyone who is thinking about posting in here please google the definitions of the words before posting.
The world's cup already overflows with stupid. Don't add to it.

I agree. But even deep down, an agnostic would have to lean at some point or another.
When someone asks if I know a God exists or not, I am an agnostic. If they ask if I believe in God, I am an atheist.
Which definitions shall we use then given that the terms are polymorphic. A concept dependant position on atheism/theism is every bit as valid and more accurate, than a general position regardless of concept... so please.... think of the cheese before posting. For the love of cheese, will anyone who is thinking about posting in here please google the definitions of the words before posting.
