Is there any religious argument that actually stands when scrutinized with reason?

The overwhelming modern scholarly consensus is, according to William Dever, that Moses is a figure of myth, not of history.[25]

it is obvious that you link to William Dever does not confirm what you say !
Yes you clicked on the link to William Devers wiki page. That's not where the source lies

I gave the link here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moses and its obvious you did not read it, or go to the citation.

Again, you did not even know what you were doing here.

That's nice.
Ducking and diving again Isee. It would appear that you don't actually phrase your replies correctly !
So why give him as a link to substantiate your claim?

Moses did not exist, so are you saying god is a literary creation as well ?

Self Evident yes it is

Some people should go to a real school and get a real education on a topic they find valuable, instead of winging it

So why give him as a link to substantiate your claim?

The link is CLEAR AS DAY right there in my post

You just clicked on the wrong one

Try the one I POSTED

You posted both!

It is imbedded in the quote, I did not put it there. you ever read any wiki pages before?

WHY would I post a HUGE link, if I wanted anyone to use the imbedded one?

Could you not understand the William Dever imbedded link only took you to his page which had little to nothing to do with moses??? and did not even have the statement I posted

If you had ever read a wiki page before, you would know they have many imbedded links

That is old news. The fact remains that the embedded link says something else; Which should have been a clear indication that I read it all.

The so called embedded link says, "according to William Dever", yet according to William Dever as per the quoted ink he said something else. So I will forgive you and blame the article for the error and misdirection

I just read both.

What is your claim about what Dever thinks of Moses? You certainly recognize that the enlarged quotations and Dever's overall perspective does not posit Moses as the character described in the bible. And simply based on both articles, it would seem Dever does not consider most biblical narratives about its heroes as true.

Nope it is you who has no inkling of what was actually said

Really?

Archaeology as it is practiced today must be able to challenge, as well as confirm, the Bible stories. Some things described there really did happen, but others did not. The Biblical narratives about Abraham, Moses, Joshua and Solomon probably reflect some historical memories of people and places, but the 'larger than life' portraits of the Bible are unrealistic and contradicted by the archaeological evidence.[11]

Where does it say moses is historical ???????????

Your arguing just to argue.

Its obvious desperation because your getting shut down hard for every pseudohistorical thing you attempt to posit in this whole forum.

You claimed I posted something in error, and you were factually wrong. Just as you have been with almost everything you write here.

And regardless of what you say Mr Dever did say this.

The overwhelming modern scholarly consensus is, according to William Dever, that Moses is a figure of myth, not of history.[25]
