I am in my 80's and lived through WW2 and every war since.
I am not fooled by anyone.
It is clear to me from the words I have heard, from his own mouth, that he suffers from NPD
He is Dangerous, but probably not as dangerous as Hitler Mussolini, Stalin, Mao or Pol Pot. As their danger was magnified by the acquiescence of their people. Though McCarthyism showed that The USA was not immune to mass hysteria.
I am not smitten by conspiracy theories of little grey men in dark corners pulling our strings.
No one is undermining Trump, he is doing all that is needed himself.

I have to admit I have somewhat mixed feelings about Trump. I was never much of a Trump fan; I always thought he was a bit of blowhard and rather obnoxious at times. He may or may not be "dangerous," but at this point in my life, I'm not afraid of that kind of danger. I'm in my 50s and lived through the Cold War, just as you obviously have. How much more "dangerous" can it get?

I think Trump's election is merely a reflection of the many bizarre absurdities that we embrace in our political culture. In many ways, I think Americans deserve Trump. We have made our own bed. It's not Trump that's dangerous. It's the fact that so many Americans have been wanting to live in their own insular dream world for far too long. We've wanted to have our cake and eat it too. We've wanted to maintain the status quo just for the sake of maintaining the status quo, but as a result, we've drifted into la-la land.

The thing is, Trump would not be president today if the establishment Democrats and Republicans had been faithful to their principles and fulfilled their promises to the people. Plus, there's the media and the celebrity cliques who have been major contributors to the illusion. Now that Trump's elected, they're all scratching their heads wondering what went wrong. They're as much to blame as anyone else, and the worst part is, they're so out of touch with reality that they don't even know why. It's as if they believe all these Trumpanzees just appeared out of nowhere, and they don't have the faintest clue as to what in the heck happened. All this hand-wringing and confusion, just by itself, is proof positive of just how clueless and out of touch many in the political and media establishment have been all this time.

Obviously, most of the American people don't think, thus he is their president.
Only a small percentage of Americastanians are involved in the candidate selection process.
The rest of us are presented with a choice between 2 candidates selected by the 2 parties.
(Third parties cannot win.)
And as we saw, the DNC was corrupted by a few elites (hate that word) to ensure only
Hillary would represent the Democrats. (Sorry Bernie, she was the chosen one.)
So many of us did put thought into which was the lesser of 2 evils.
The result wasn't pretty.

It is absolutely true that Trumps election was mostly due to the entrenched political failures, aided by the chronic effect of Globalisation on the workplace and Job prospects.
What the Voters did not take in to account was Trumps mental state, and the danger that will be to their futures.

What do people think.?

There seem to be an alarming number of reports from mental health specialist suggesting that he is suffering from all the symptoms of NPD. a condition which can only get worse, and will lead to ever-increasing, bizarre and erratic decisions and outbursts.

From recent tweets statements and speeches. this seems to be increasingly the case.
What provision does the constitution hold for dealing with such a situation.?

From what I gather, a good portion of his supporters think the way he acts is for a purpose, and not the real him.
At least that's how it is here in my small section of Kansas, I can't really speak outside of that.

If it does happen to just be an act, he is an exceedingly talented actor.
I certainly feel like he has the qualities of both a narcissist and a moron.

I'll be honest @Upaava, the misogyny, xenophobia and arrogance of the guy kinda put me off.
Him jumping straight to executive orders and blacking out social media accounts and having posts acknowledging climate change deleted to be unnerving.
Obviously, most of the American people don't think, thus he is their president.
That simply isn't the case as more people voted for Hillary than Trump. The Right wants to turn this into a "rejection of Liberal values," but, really, the only entity that rejected Hillary was the EC. Those who bothered to vote did not.

The constitution protects all of us, including the president from "mad scientists", particulary a pseudo science like mental health.

Yes the government recognizes Mental Health as a pseudoscience. That's why we have a Home | MentalHealth.gov and Metal Health Service and Treatments centers all over the US staffed with Mental Health professionals.

Now could you remind me, which Constitutional Right is it exactly that deals with mad scientist?

"he is an exceedingly talented actor."

I have found that acting like a narcissistic moron is an innate talent that most humans possess, the real display of skill is not acting like a narcissistic moron.

Those are voluntary. They don't go looking for crazies to exterminate like Hitler did, and you seem to be doing. Trump is president, get over it, learn to love it.

Ya, you are going to have a real hard sell convincing people that Mental Health is a pseudoscience, since, at least here in the US, it is definitely recognized as a real science.

Now you ignored my question: Which Constitutional Right is it exactly that deals with mad scientist?

Should be one right? It's there, I'm sure.

Maybe it is a new one, and they forgot to tell everyone.
Life liberty pursuit of happiness, secure in their person...it all points to the government can't mess with you unless you break a law. Giving power to head shrinkers would be a mistake.
