Fair enough. Maybe there is a reason to think Trump would be better in that respect than Hillary. I can't think of any, but that means little.

If Trump wins, it may shift the Democrats a tad further left to incorporate more "Bernie-like" policies to gain more favor to completely kill Trump's chances of winning reelection.

That would be a good thing. But I am not sure that might happen.

I think there is a chance it might. I'm not sure how big of a chance, but anyone with a brain should be able to clearly see that it would be clear that we'd be saying "President Sanders" by now, especially since minorities were slowly starting to get behind him. Just imagine if we would have had one guy one the ballot who had wide popular support (and would have easily beaten Hillary had we not this culture of total voter apathy) going against someone that has "his own party" abandoning ship and trying to strangle him?
If anything, it proves democracy has failed, and this "mob rule" that got Trump through is exactly why the Founders were dead set against democracy.

It would depend on why Trump won.
If it was because, as usual, the people who support radical change didn't vote that would be one thing. The most likely reason in fact. The young are notoriously low turn out voters. So are leftists. So are black people.
Democrats are noticeably more numerous than Republicans, but consistently drawn from low turnout demographic groups.
So if it was because there really are more (and more motivated )Trump people, the Democrats would pivot left and try to get higher turnouts. But if it's because the leftish end of the political spectrum continue to not vote they will go further to the right.
Because that's where the votes are.

I think Trump is a bigger threat to world peace than domestic problems.
That's because there is far less that he can do domestically without Congress. If he wanted to attack Iran or blow up Syria or meddle in Chinese affairs, he is more able to do it without Congress.

I think media and propaganda have done a good job at making it seem that if he woke up with a bad hair day, nuclear codes would be activated on wherever his finger stops on a spinning globe. Would you trust Donald with the gold codes?

You still need an act of congress for any declaration of war.

He can still "mess" with them in a limited way.
This has never actually been true; we went from undeclared wars against the indigenous nations to undeclared wars against "drugs" and "terrorism", but a war is a war. Congress has only "declared" five wars against eleven nations in their long history, yet our military is almost constantly mobilized.

It would be all the states versus North Carolina and probably Indiana at the rate this is going.
I am not sure why you picked NC and IN.
North Carolina is leaning towards Clinton and Indiana isn't totally red.

Its West Virginia southwest to Alabama that are the problem.

Only if he loses.

He already has his supporters claiming that if he wins, it was a fair election. But if he loses, it's because the election was rigged.

He has admitted they he would accept the results of the election and back Clinton if he loses. . . at the end of he first debate, but in the last 16 months, he has said anything. . . I literally have no idea what he'll say or do on November 8th when he loses.

I wonder about his supporters. They already feel negative about everything. Could they take steps towards a civil war. They make up about 25% of the US concentrated in certain locations. US society wants them to change and its only getting worse. We seem to be taking away their personal liberties because other feel violated such as Flying the Confederate flag, not allowing religious beliefs in public, such as Christmas decorations or forced service.

If you can read this, you are as lucky as I am.

Well, I just took a run this morning, and saw the same two conference flags flying in my own neighborhood.

Religious beliefs in public is not taking away a right, it taking away a privilege. Using religion to discriminate is a bad thing too.

I see plenty of Christmas decorations everywhere, and I have no idea what forced service is.

Trump supporters are 2016's temper tantrum. I don't know why they believe they are so trod upon, or how they believe the world their living in is such a hellish nightmare. My 7 year old has had a "not fair" phase lately. . . Doesn't mean she's right, or that she's thought it through. . .

I'd tell Trump's supporters to go live in Saudia Arabia for awhile, where they enforce laws that respect religion and its country's traditions and see how that feels for awhile. . .

If Trump wins and becomes a national threat, he will not be around for very long.
the USA reacts badly but very positively to national threats.

That's exactly what I think Hillary is going to say. America is something they are willing to fight for and they are well armed people. Treating them that way will increase the likely hood of a civil war or domestic terrorism.
