Why a lack thereof.

That's why I added "or lack there of".
ISIS are not supernatural creatures. But they are creatures of the supernatural. They believe that the afterlife is better than the life we know about. So they don't object to dying for Allah and Muhammad.
As long as they can crucify or behead a few people first. And get a little sex slave action.
ISIS is the current ultimate in religious beliefs. They are why the teachings about an afterlife are SO wrong. They want to kill and die for God! Because Islam has taught them to do it.
Christianity teaches that as well. But Christian
culture started adopting secular ethics centuries ago. Christians don't usually believe in ancient ethical codes. That is why Christendom is morally superior to any kalifat. Not a lot superior, we did just invade Iraq to "liberate" a bunch of fossil fuels.
The Abrahamic world is a huge mess. The premise that God will bless you in an afterlife for being a murderous monster in this one is one of the main reasons why. ISIS has that in spades.
ISIS is God's worst manifestation.
Tom
Just yesterday it was announced that ISIS leaders deny islam is
the religion of peace, explaining that it is in fact the religion of the
sword.
Most how have studied islam for a bit already knew that.
ISIS leaders said they know they will be defeated. That is exactly what they want.
Why? Because the honestly think when there are 5,000 ISIS fighters left, surounded in Jerusalem, that Jesus will save them and make war
on the world of infidels. Jesus save them in the end.
ISIS wants believes very much that Jesus was a powerful prophet, second only to Muhammad.
ISIS believes they can hasten Allah to act by sending Jesus and a heavenly host to rescue islam.
Incredible.
I've had that thought too. Why would they do what they do if they wanted to rule the world. It doesn't make any sense to me either. Something strange is going on. They are vastly outnumbered in every sense, so why would they continue their outrageous movement? Hitler had a great army, arms, etc but, when the rest of the world got together it was all over! Hitler caused over 50 Million deaths, but he had the power and the people, but who does ISIS have? Who backs them? This is very strange, like you said.I find it pointless that they or anyone would want to try to take over the world, seeing hown they are vastly outnumbered and outmatched, but why are they kidnapping and hurting people from other countries all over thw world, from America, to Japan, to Jordan, to Ehypt ect. They are making everyone mad and all of them have the power to stop ISIS. Why would ISIS want to **** off everybody when they are vastly outnumbered and outmatched? Doesn't anyone find that strange? Whatever goal they have isn't going to be accomplished if they kidnap many different people and make people mad? It just seems strange to me.
