from what i know the quran denounces other religion, just like alot of other religions

The Qu'ran denounces idolatry. It couldn't possibly be more clearer on that.

It doesn't denounce Christ or the Gospels, though. Quite the opposite.

It would be as absurd for Muhammad to bad-mouth Christ as it would for Christ to bad-mouth Moses.

I used to pray when I was Christian, and its not really comparable, tho' the method employed by the Muslims can work for whoever. It involves pondering one's Ilm (knowledge) and trying to focus while lowering one's head to the ground. It is in a manner most different to what I used to do in Church (knelt hands clasped), and even what occurs in the more evangelical churches (hands raised in praise). It requires understanding of the absolute and infinite nature of Allah, and our own finite nature. Then in recognition of this fact one lowers one's head to where it can go no lower, where one usally has one's feet.

Our Long Obligatory Prayer is rather like that.

There is something very grounding and humbling to the form of the Islamic prayer when done correctly. I often ignore my prayers Astagfir Allah, and even when I manage to carry them out my mind can stray. My favourite hadith to use to focus my prayer is the one about the ring in the desert, works nearly everytime.

well, i pray 18 times a day and sacrafice sheep :D ... do i win?
Sounds like many people during Ramadhan. It is not unusual at all during the month of fasting to find people in the mosque all night praying, and I really mean all night. This happens especially on the Night of Power, where the power (i.e. his majesty not He Himself) descends to the first heaven. For some of the more mystical of the Muslims the final Ha in Allah's name could be seen to be indicative of that night.
