For a while I thought the term genocide was a bit hyperbolic in this 'conflict' but I have to admit that when one objectively looks at everything Israel has done in Gaza, I have changed my mind. Their bulldozing of Palestinian cemeteries was the last straw for me.
They also destroyed the memorial to the slain Palestinian-American journalist, Shireen Abu Akleh, who was murdered by an IDF sniper while covering a story and clearly wearing a vest marked "Press". Armed Israeli forces even had the gall to storm her funeral while they were carrying the casket! They won't even let her rest in death. I suspect the hatred shown towards her is due to the fact that she is widely inspirational to Palestinian and Arab girls and young women. (She was a Christian, as well. People tend to forget that many Palestinians are Christian. They can be any religion, as they're an ethnicity.)

(I suspect the street and memorial to the slain American peace activist, Rachel Corrie, either will be or has been destroyed by the IDF, too. She was murdered by being crushed to death by an IDF bulldozer as she tried to protect a Palestianian family's home from being demolished. She's widely hailed as a hero to Palestianians and peace activists.)
They also destroyed the revered horse statue in the Jenin refugee camp (which has been hit by missile strikes multiple times during this genocide), which was a symbol of hope and resilience.

Those examples, along with the destruction of the cemetaries, are clear examples of cultural genocide. They won't even let their dead rest in peace or allow them to remember them. Or to have something that represents their pride. How sick.
