Because it's a systemic problem, I think it makes sense to look beyond the individual soul for a root cause.

Lemme see--building respect for individuals who are different applied in a collectivist manner? (When it is hatred and delusion that overcomes an individual's mind and they behave in a collective manner....)

If the model "Hatred >>> is becoming >>> Delusion" is correct, then I'm looking for the source which is feeding the "becoming". Starve the beast; break the cycle. That's why I'm not interested in knowledge and information. It's irrelevant. Knowledge and information will not address the reasons ( the metaphorical nourishment ) for the delusion(s).

... cannot occur unless the inherent hypocrisy is prevented. And. It's a steep hill to climb; because, political progressives have a very bad reputation in this regard.

How is the individual's mind (and sound judgment) that was overcome going to be regained? I see that as the goal. Your mileage may vary.

Lacking the delusion, they will naturally see themselves in the other, relate, empathize, and behave more compassionately.
