I wish it would snow here (North Central Texas). All we get here is cold sunny days and occasionally we'll get the 33 degree rain (that's a real treat ).Terrywoodenpic said:We had snow here two weeks ago, it Lasted for a week, but it has gone now.
Froze to -4 or -5

Well, we have been told we're going to have a very hard winter here, this year. But Bournemouth is extraordinary. The town centre can be totally free of snow; go out five miles in any direction (except the sea unless you like a swim ), and there will be snow...........Maize said:
Someone here in Richmond described it as Sleeze (snow, sleet and freezing rain all mixed together), so I was quite surprised to see big fluffy, white snowflakes today.

I'm just north of Richmond in Hanover.Darkdale said:So you're in Richmond? very cool. The snow looks great there. I'll have to call my folks and see what's happening there.
It's pretty much the same thing along the front range (of the Rockie Mountains) here in Colorado, Michel. If you move eight miles in any direction, the micro climate changes. It's hard to predict the weather in the shadow of a mountain range. Right now, there's snow on the ground where I'm at.michel said:Well, we have been told we're going to have a very hard winter here, this year. But Bournemouth is extraordinary. yes but mich, we get english snow, that is to say, the kind of snow that turns into wet slush as soon as it touches the ground, and turns a gorgous slugish brown colour, and only occurs between rain and rainmichel said:I think I have the best of both worlds. Sitting here in the reasonable warmth (though the forecast tells us the temp is going down over the next week), watching the beauty of your snow. You keep it, and keep posting pictures....
I guess I spoke too soon. Snow is in the forcast for tomorrow evening (the High will be 35 and the Low will be 17). I don't want to believe the weather forcasters since I just went outside, and it's 60 degrees with clear skies (perfect day).Todd said:I wish it would snow here (North Central Texas).
