Aye, that could be a really really big conflict.
And boy, would their economy tank more than ours!
Yeah but the interests of the rich would tank more than those of us other 99%. Here in the USA, a trade war with China would benefit low income people and cause a Stock Market collapse.
Trump could keep a lot of his campaign promises by slamming China with sanctions. Trade sanctions, financial sanctions, Trump could give the Chinese good reasons to deal with North Korea. But I don't think he will because he doesn't care about America. His interests are more aligned with Russian interests, and Putin doesn't care about North Korea much.

That is the most dumbest analysis I've yet seen today!
Surely you're joking.

Like I said earlier, isn't China one of the biggest holders of American national debt? If they're going under it might be tempting to drag you down with them.
China is in no danger of "going under". Their idea of a bad year is 5% growth. They could bring down the USA economy by selling off that debt, as it suited them.
The world economy is dollar based. Trillions of dollars are out there, in the form of debt instruments. The USA could selectively default on it. Similarly, other governments could selectively sell. All they have to do is give advantages to Euro based transactions, like in petroleum.
Or rubles. Putin would love a president who wasnt very good at leadership or competent economic policy.

Oh wait.
He has already gotten that...

I see from your post that you're not experienced at being really really in debt.
There's an old saying....
If you owe the bank $100,000 on your house, the bank owns you.
If you owe the bank $100,000,000 on your business, you own the bank.
I was once such a borrower that when I entered the bank, they checked my pulse.

Think about it....
We have the money.
They want it.
If we don't pay, who loses?
