Of course, that would be ridiculous.
But I do expect culturally appropriate programming, eg, French robotic waiters would be unhelpful, snooty, & disdainful.
Portlandian waiters would care deeply about how the cow you're about to eat was raised in a healthy & rich environment.
Oh, it will.....eventually, companies will have no employees....only owners.
Eventually, even owners will be replaced by robots, because, frankly, biological beings are irrational and inefficient.
We owners are like cockroaches.....we're survivors!
The species inhabiting any niche in an environment can be replaced by another species that can do the job better. Cockroaches have been durable, but build a better cockroach, and they will take over...
Over the many coming eons, we owners will evolve too.
Features we'll gain.....
- Marsupial-like pouch for storing money
- Eyes in the back of our head to keep an eye out for robots organizing.
- Wider behinds for sitting in plush chairs at big desks
Chinese workers are facing replacement by robots too....

Keep on yelling. In a perfect world we in the USA and the world could be living in a kind of paradise that was promised to us baby boomers and sons/daughters of baby boomers in grade school. Part of my young life was spent on Cape Canaveral FL. Dad worked at the cape so I went to 'clear water' grammar school. Man what culture shock! I was a little hillbilly from ea TN, well from France really but that's another story. There in CC grammar school our teachers would always take us to the play ground to watch all the NASA rockets blasting off. They looked positively sci fi, like a shiny pencil with brilliant flames shooting out the back, and the ground AND the air did vibrate and tremble. The sound of the early Hydrogen and liquid oxygen precursors of the J2 and 3 Saturn motors were unbelievable to this kid. ....Usually two or three a week would be go up.
Long story short during those days we little students were hammered about the coming two or three day work week the flyin' cars, space motels and all the other goodies that science and technology would bring us by 1990 at the latest. Oh yeah the robots! Those babies would make the two or three day work week possible Ole HAL would slave away while we basked in our new found wealth, we don't have to pay robots wages or pensions or health plans....Guess what? GREED HAPPENED. Low down dirty greed, CEOs with their golden parachutes, nations funding unending wars paid for with funny money and our two work week money. GREED. GREED GREED!!! plain ole piggy greed. Jesus was right when he said the LOVE of money ie GREED is the root of all evil.
How do we fix it? We don't, Pandora box will not close.
I know what will happen to reset the worlds economy tho'. A all out horrific war ...... history has already shown us the result of unabated GREED. Yeah I too rolled in the slop with all the other piggies......damn ...
Its my belief that only a massive conversion of Americans moral standards of the basic 'love your fellow man as yourself' and as illustrated by the teachings of Jesus will save us. Done soon enough it would maybe abort our involvement in a third world war.
