All unaccounted for, apparently. All these tragedies....Was the owner of the pigs compensated?
Where did the demons go when the pigs were killed?
Don't know. I've wondered if it wasn't just a crude, cruel accusation against people with mental disorders. What is a demon exactly?

The big problem with this story is that pigs can swim. They’re even known to like swimming in water. The same goes for hogs. So this story doesn’t make sense.
What about demon possessed pigs, hogs etc.? Can they swim? Especially when they are Hell bent on killing themselves.
Have you done a study on this?
Haven't looked into it. But maybe some demons could speak up here? What about demon possessed pigs, hogs etc.? Can they swim? Especially when they are Hell bent on killing themselves.

Unclean spirits cast into unclean (unkosher) animals.
Gadarenes was not in Judea. It was east of the Jordan River southeast of the Sea of Galilee. Gentile turf. What was a herd of swine doing in Judea anyway?
swan dive ?? swine-diveKeep score? Best swan-dive wins? The pigs know how to swim, friend. The OP is certain. Please don't under estimate them.

Thanks. I would like to know why do you think it's not to be taken literally? That's most likely what the original intent of the story was, or something like that. It's not to be taken literally.
who said it was Judea ?What was a herd of swine doing in Judea anyway?
Apparently the swine carcasses floated there on the Dead Sea..who said it was Judea ?
The tale has power as a kind of dramatic metaphor and doesn't need to be taken literally
Maybe they can, but how long? And even after rushing down from steep bank?
In a way it is a funny story, they asked Jesus not to send them into the abyss, and that they wanted to go to the swine. And then the swine committed a suicide by drowning into abyss.
Well preserved and salted I'm sure.Apparently the swine carcasses floated there on the Dead Sea..
Well preserved and salted I'm sure.
Yeah, like plenty of the bible, full of metaphors
