Jesus childhood years?Egypt?

The bible tells about his birth then has one incident as a child then skips up to his adulthood? Id think that that's a huge thing to leave out.

It also says he escaped to Egypt and lived, I saw a tv show that said with King Herod in leadership for howeve rlong Jesus would've had to live along time in childhood in Egypt and he would braised as an Egyptian learning the Egyptian religion. Sense Egyptians believe in resurrection why shouldn't I believe Jesus just took Paganism back to his people and sugar coated it with Jewish beliefs?I see him as being Pagan in his beliefs.

There are two evidences that the trip of Jesus to Egypt soon after he was born is an interpolation forged into the text as a result of a plagiarism of Prophet Hosea 11:1 which is a reference to Israel. "When Israel was a child, from Egypt I called My son."
The second evidence is that the gospel of Luke denies that trip by default. According to Luke, soon after Jesus was through with all the rituals in the Temple Jesus was taken back home to Nazareth. Nothing about Egypt.

He most likely worked as a carpenter or some other sort of craftsman. Not that exciting.
The New Testament says he was teaching people at even a young age, so his middle years should have been filled with the same types of amazing moments, don't you think?

What did he do with his carnal desires? He couldn't be fully human without having them, right?
Do you guys think Jesus ever masturbated?

It seems like whoever wrote Matthew went out of their way to try and find verses out of the Hebrew Bible to make Jesus sound like he was fulfilling prophecy. Whoever that guy was didn't do a very good job. So we have Luke, who says he did some thorough research. Why no Egypt from him? It's all so tough to believe in when there are so many things that sound made up or added in.

I heard there are stories about his childhood. He did all kinds of wonderful things. Then I was told those stories weren't true. It's terrible that someone would make up a phony story about Jesus. And about his sex life? I'm not going to touch that. The thought of God playing with himself? You should be ashamed for even thinking of things like that. Go say some Hail Mary's or something.

Jesus's childhood would be like much of childhood. but in grand scheme of things, how important would childhood be?

I don't remember a clear time frame to how long Jesus was not in Israel, but some details seem little or not to pertain much meaning. otherwise at some point, how would any king who not know every person in his own land (of local and foreign sort) and which of them would be returning?

we do have St. John prepare us for Jesus. hm. makes sense. Jesus could have been returning at that time or prior.

This is Osirus from WIki he was resurrected as well Jesus wasn't the only one which means when Christians say Jesus was the only messiah who was resurrected its a lie.

The Osiris myth is the most elaborate and influential story in ancient Egyptian mythology. It concerns the murder of the god Osiris, a primeval king of Egypt, and its consequences. Osiris's murderer, his brother Set, usurps his throne. Meanwhile, Osiris's wife Isis restores her husband's body, allowing him to posthumously conceive a son with her. The remainder of the story focuses on Horus, the product of the union of Isis and Osiris, who is at first a vulnerable child protected by his mother and then becomes Set's rival for the throne. Their often violent conflict ends with Horus's triumph, which restores order to Egypt after Set's unrighteous reign and completes the process of Osiris's resurrection. The myth, with its complex symbolism, is integral to the Egyptian conceptions of kingship and succession, conflict between order and disorder, and especially death and the afterlife. It also expresses the essential character of each of the four deities at its center, and many elements of their worship
1. in your own story or how you describe it...and in Egyptian myth - Osiris dies after being brought back to life by a spell from another. none of these things are stated in regards to Jesus.

2. Jesus would not have been able to pretend to be Messiah like some other ones have. other ones were killed or died with out helping anyone or we would have remembered their names as well.

3. Jews spent large amount of time in Egypt and didn't borrow spit from Egyptians. not much reason Jesus would or anyone would want to use something another already has.

Ironic, considering he said to do everything on the down low and if that were true, you WOULDN'T know about what happened, right?

You ain't kidding Didymus! I have even published a book about the contradictions of the NT as to fill up 210 pages. And for Luke, he did claim to have done thorough research about Jesus and acknowledged no trip for Jesus to Egypt.
And as the gospel attributed to Matthew is concerned, the author had to be a Hellenist former disciple of Paul's. If you read Matthew 9:9, Matthew the apostle of Jesus could have never written that gospel. It was attributed to him to enhance
credibility for the church of Paul.

210 pages and I'll bet you it's still hard to find a born-again Christian to see any problem with the quotes "Matthew" uses.

Oh, that! It's called Christian preconceived notions. That's akin to living by faith because they are unable to understand or afraid to be charged with spiritual insurrection.

not that unusual.... similar with Moses... some facts of his birth... jumps 40 years ahead to his life as leaving being a prince and becomeing a shepherd... then jumps 40 years ahead to the Exodus and wandering in the dessert

What facts?
There are implausible stories, but that isn't facts. And you skipped over the part about him being a murderer.
That is why he left town(so to speak) , and lived out in the desert. It's not like he thought he was too good to be a prince or anything.

Murder! According to Jewish tradition there is a concept called Pichuach Nephesh which in Judaism any Jew can kill someone who is in the process of killing another.

Wiki does say Christianity was a take off of Helinistic Judaism which was basically Greek Paganism.and that it was from Egypt that part I got right but it was a Greek religion. For crying outloud if thats true obviously Christianity has been changed into a religion it as never meant to be.

Indeed, many Jews had added into their lives many items of Hellenistic culture especially during the Hasmonian period. If Christianity borrowed their Hellenism from Judaism, it must have left what is Jewish behind because I find a hard time to distinguish what is Jewish from what is Hellenistic in Christianity.

Somehow, the Egyptians don't appear to have been familiar with that "tradition". Or perhaps, the Egyptian overseer wasn't in any particular danger of killing anybody. Whatever the legal niceties, Moses didn't wait around.

In the 70's, in the middle of the "Jesus Freak" movement, I had to try. I had never read the Bible, although having been raised Catholic. I had never heard of the term "being born again." So with nothing to compare to, I believed what I was being told was the truth, after all, it was Bible verses... Yes, spoon fed Bible verses. So verse by verse a foundation of belief in Jesus being the Savior was established. Very few controversial verses were ever mentioned. It wasn't until four years later, when I started having doubts, that I went to some Jewish friends and asked them why they didn't believe that Jesus was the Messiah. They showed me the verses, like in Matthew, that were taken out of context. So I began taking a closer look at all the things I had been taught. I'm still looking and still doubting.

But for the Christian believer, they see what they want to see. They see the virgin birth being prophesied in Isaiah along with "Lucifer" falling from heaven. They see their devil being talked about in Ezekiel and being a talking serpent in Genesis. But what I think keeps them believing is the power, the spiritual power they feel from believing. They "know" in their hearts that it's the truth. They can feel the Holy Spirit inside of them, guiding them. But, I felt the "Spirit" and I felt guided in three different religious beliefs and in two different forms of Christianity. So I had to ask myself... was the belief true, or did it feel true because I wanted it to be true and believed it was true? So I really think that if someone surrenders their heart to some concept of God, any concept of God from any religion, it's probably going to feel pretty good. It will probably be very liberating, until, like with me, the doubts creep in. Then, it all seems like make believe.

One theory has Jesus traveling the world with His Great Uncle Joseph of Arimathea, during His missing years.
