Jesus , Krishna- which of the two is the supreme-god?

Jesus and Krishna both were just human beings and prophets, none of them is god or son of god or supreme-god. Please
Regards

paarsurrey,
Neither Jesus nor Krishna was or is the Supreme God.
Jesus, the Christ, was the son of the Almighty God.
Jesus is called a god, the same was true of the rulers of the Jews, Isaiah 9:6, Psalms 82:1,6,7.
At John 10:31-36, Jesus was making the point that they, the rulers of the Jewish people were called gods, and they were going to stone Jesus, because he said that he was the son of God.
Jesus asked his disciples who the people were saying that the son of ma is, Peter answered that he was the Christ, the son of The living God. Jesusthen said that flesh and blood did not reveal that to him, but his Father who is in heaven did, Matthew 16:13-17. Jesus said that God was his God and your God, my Father and your Father, John 20:17. At John 17:3, Jesus said in prayer, that it means eternal life, taking in knowledge of the only true God, and the one that He sent to earth.
Many Bible translators use the same word, in the Christian Greek Scriptures, to refer to both Jesus and God, which makes it difficult at times to know which one the writer was referring to, when they use lord for both.
The Almighty God has many names in the Bible, but all but one were, Proper Adjectives, while God's personal name, Proper Name is YHWH, in Hebrew, and Jehovah in English. This name was in the Original Autographs over 7,000 times, which means to me that God wanted His name known and spoken often. The Jews, because of superstition, thought that God's personal name was too sacred to be spoken by imperfect lips, they stopped speaking His name and The Name's actual pronunciation was lost.
This God is the God that created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them, Acts 17:24-28. God says thatHeis a jealous God, that all should worship only Him, Exodus 34:14. He says thatHe will kill all other, called gods, and all who worship them, Jeremiah 10:11-15, Psalms 115:1-8. Isaiah 44:6.
When God put Adam and Eve on earth He had a purpose, and that purpose has not changed, Isaiah 45:18, Genesis 1:26-28, Isaiah 14:24-26, 55:11.

I believe the evidence is that Jesus is God because He is the Truth. Krishna is not because he doesn't always speak the truth.[/QUOTE
I believe that Jesus is the Son of God as that is what is said in the Bible. Yahweh the father is God. This is how I see it.

They were both God and man. It doesn't really matter what you call them, they are Divine. They represent One God in core, they are allies. Since we live in a Christian environment and many people like to either propegate against the Bible or fiercly defend it, there are Bible examples enough. Here are some Hindu examples I have studied on in the past years,

Whenever virtue (dharma) declines, and vice (adharma) is in the ascendant, I incarnate Myself on earth. Appearing from age to age in visible form, I come to destroy evil and to re-establish righteousness.” (Krishna, Bhagavad Gita, 4:7-8)

>>> Krishna Just as Jesus came for that culture to restore the Kingdom of God. Christians usually do not understand this because they are really into their western culture, but Hindus do also often not understand the other way around either. They both had very different purposes on earth.

Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sins. Do not fear. (Bhagavad Gita 18:66)

>>> Surrender to Krishna delivers salvation from Karma and reincarnation and/ or hell.

Be aware of the knowledge that I am always with you. Just as the ocean is the goal and end of all rivers, so I am also the end and the top goal of all the Veda’s. (Srimad bhagavatam, Chapter 7)

>>> Krishna is always with us.

Krishna is the son, the father, the mother, the friend and Lord of all beings in creation. So he is the ‘Self’ of all. He is everything and everywhere and nothing is outside or above Him. (Srimad bhagavatam, Chapter 7)

>>> Krishna is God, but he is also the Divine part within each of us. Also he is a friend like Jesus.

But from all things that I would have to sum up, love is truly the highest; love and devotion make that one forgets all other things. It is love that connects the beloved with Me. (Srimad bhagavatam, Chapter 8)

>>> The highest form of acting is love. The same as Jesus says, love your neighbour as yourself and God above all. These commandments are 'the same' because God is the omnipresent eternal force of love.

Jesus , Krishna- which of the two is the supreme-god?

I look at this way. Krishna is still dead in his grave. Christ's grave is empty and is risen from the dead. He is the One who has power over life and death and therefore He is authentically, God. His resurrection was witnessed by hundreds of people for about 30 days after, and it is written down for us to scrutinize.
Certainty for eternity

One thing is clear to me from this thread, and that's that Vaishnavism is clearly the Hindu sect closest to Christianity.

I think you're right, but going the other way. I think it's safer to say Christianity - in some respects, but not all anymore - is more like Vaishnavism, which is far older than Christianity.

Whoever, or whatever Jesus was (Homer may not have existed as a person either), I think his teachings took liberally from Hinduism. There really are a lot of similarities. Especially in the birth stories, and even as far as the visions (Jesus's transfiguration for his disciples, Krishna's universal form for Arjuna). This may be why Jesus is so appealing to a lot of Hindus... he reminds them of Krishna

Even if Jesus did not visit India, which is a theory I don't believe, there were other ways for Hindu philosophy to go to Judea...

Rome was trading with China and most of Asia from the time BCE.
There wasn't only one Silk Road, but many, over different routes through Asia.
Christianity is really nothing like Judaism. I believe only that its first teacher was Jewish.

Of course I don't believe Jesus is God, maybe a god or some divine being. But I really don't know or care anymore from a theological perspective, only historical.

I believe Krishna says that animals are souls but they are not.

Where did he say that?

never miss a wonderfull oppertunity to quote the Gita , ....

I am the original fragrance of the earth, and I am the heat in fire. I am the life of all that lives, and I am the penances of all ascetics. .....Ch ..7 V..9

I am in everyone's heart as the Supersoul. As soon as one desires to worship the demigods, I make his faith steady so that he can devote himself to some particular deity. ......Ch ..7 V ..21
aham atma gudakesa
sarva-bhutasaya-sthitah
aham adis ca madhyam ca
bhutanam anta eva ca

I am the Self, O Guḍākeśa, seated in the hearts of all creatures. I am the beginning, the middle and the end of all beings. ....Ch ..10 V ..20

@Muffled ji ......Sorry if it offends your sencibilities but aham atma , ....means ''I am the soul'' , ...the very core of all beings ......''seated in the hearts of all creatures. '', ..... means, ... animals , birds , molusks, snails and amebas , every crawling , living breathing thing .....

No joke , ... deffinatly you should get out more
''Vaisnavism is clearly the Hindu sect closest to Christianity ''

No . no , ...we are just tollerant loving and very accepting :)

We accept that the supreme lord himself comes in many guises for the benifit of all mankind failing that he will send an appointed god without capital , ...as in not God with capital G meaning supreme God , ....now if Christians say God sent his only son , ie a divine birth then this is fine Jesus is the son of God , .....no argument all glories to Christaians for worshiping the son of God , .....

Now lets return to the Gita, ...Krsna says '' Aham '', ...I am
''I am the beginning, the middle and the end of all beings.''

this means the begining and end of all material life , ...Christians I beleive understand that Jesus returns to the side of God , this is interesting , ..as it makes him , more than a material being but not omnipresent only the supreme is omnipresent , ....

so we Vaisnava are also a little open minded too , if indoubt
as Arjuna did we consult Krsna , see what he has to say about it , .....

7.21 is what makes me feel not guilty about raising a mug to Thor. :D

And 10.20 was 1,000 years BC, literally Before Christ. ;)
