Is it me or is this turning into a youtube clip thread?

But I wanted to argue over "if they meant translate/interpret, they would have used the word ἑρμηνεύω!" {Which would have had the potential to get really interesting. But alas, you didn't take the bait. I'll just slink away now.}

That's ridiculous. Why would they have used the first person singular? Sheesh.

EDIT: Eh...I could have done better. I won't, but I should have.

Four students failed my final today because they were referencing the Greek NT rather than the Aramaic -- when they were answering questions about the NT.

It's a cruel, cruel world.

What in Hell's name is going on? :shrug:
One (past) visit I was reading that Jesus used to sunbath on a Mauritian beach in the Indian Ocean, and honourable members were chucking quotes from Bart this or Dominic that at each other, then (in another visit) I seem to remember rows about 'they didn't use past historic tense in aboriginal dialects' or whatever, now I'm sure I just saw an episode of the Simpsons or something?

You've all gone stark staring bonkers.........:yes:

:facepalm:

Question: What would Yeshua have used if he had had a headache?

Really?

When and how was it determined that Jesus was literate?

My god. Sarcasm really isn't your strong suit, apparently (it's ok- it's harder to catch without facial expressions and a tone of voice to hear). Let me clear this up:
1) I don't believe unicorns are real. That was a joke.
2) I don't believe Jesus wrote anything, and certainly not in a language that wasn't around during his life and especially not written to a man living today.

Chakra decongestants that his Indian guru gave to him as a gift when he left India.
