Jewish u.s. President possible?

hello,
there hasn't been a single jewish president in the history of the united states. why is this so? if an afro-american can become president why not a jew? considering the immense contributions that community has given to american society . the brits made benjamin disraeli their prime-minister. why not in the u.s.?

Many Americans still have the mindset that the US is predominantly a Christian nation. It's also one of the most, if not the most, conservative nation on earth. While Judaism tends to be respected by conservative Christians, I doubt most would trust one as the president at this time. It will be some time, maybe another generation or two, before we see a president that is not a Christian.

Female? Jew? Gay? Muslim? Atheist?
Nah....those are all so possible as to be ordinary.
Now, a Transgender Libertarian prez would really turn over the apple cart!

Optimal would be a Gay, Jewish, Libertarian, visible minority, physically challenged Female....
Add "engineer" to make it really bizarre for a politician.

I don't count Jimmy Carter as an engineer, even though he studied nuclear engineering.
Why? He said "nucyuler". (Although, this particular mispronunciation is common in gov.)

Who cares?

Elect me a president who is well-qualified for the job (which means well-educated in a broad base of subjects) whose vision and values are similar to my own and I'm happy. I couldn't care less what his or her religion is, what his or her race is, or any other completely trivial aspect of their character that doesn't have anything to do with their ability to be a good president. I don't vote based on a candidate's religion, race, sex, etc. Under American law, those sorts of biases would ordinarily be grounds for discrimination lawsuits.

We'll have a jewish president one day. Whether a mix or not. I'd be willing to bet they would also run as a Democrat. Being that democrats are the party that typically likes to break the mold.

And the fact that jews in America vote democrat by a 3-1 margin

44 Presidents ... US Jewish pollution running roughly %2 ... no biggie.
</yawn>

We're still wondering when a female President is a possibility.

It seems the Jews have a better shot if you think about the stats. Out of all 44 presidents, none are Jewish and society is just now %2 Jewish. Statistically, we'd expect to see one every 50 presidents are so if that statistic was always the same, which I I'm not sure it was.

Women on the other hand have never been elected out of 44 presidents, but they make up 50% of the population. So we should have already seen 22, give or take.

So it wouldn't surprise to see several Jewish presidents before a female president. :( Not that I would mind a Jewish president, just it's sad to see huge gaps in representation.

Probablistic prognostication, eh?
Since 95% of presidents are currently dead, a zombie is most likely to be elected.
Perhaps then we'll see improved civil rights for the living impaired.

Humans act in totally unpredictable ways. That being said, at the going rate, I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised to see a Jewish president before a female president.

I predict that there's a 90% chance that any prediction I make will be wrong.
(If I had any political sense, I wouldn't be a Libertarian.)

If Hillary decides to run in 2016, you'll see the first female president. So I'd bet on that happening first.
At this point, I think she is going to run.
