Yet Job is a totally fictional story.... You have also gendered god... You state in your comment that god is male .... Clearly the Earliest humans worshiped the sacred feminine and the great Earth mother.... Some 35.000 years ago ..... This is way before Muhammad made up and invented Islam and the Quran....
This is a bad translation of the verse. The word you are translating as "submit" actually means "become used to".Job 22:21
“Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you.
It is submission and peace which what the word Islam means which is about submitting
to God with peace which is the opposite of being rebellion.
Also Time kills all Gods .... How many people still worship Zeus...

But I have to ask you: What is your intent in finding Islamic meaning from the Jewish Tanach? Let's say your translation was correct and the verse is saying to submit to G-d. Why are you bringing Islam into the picture here?
John is, but you are quoting Job.John is in the new testament and not your Jewish Tanach, correct me if I'm wrong.
Yet there was NO Absolutely NO allah that far back in History......
John is, but you are quoting Job.
I don't know who gave you that translation but its wrong.Yes you're right, but why do you think it was translated as submit while it should be "become used to"

If you even hold the mouse pointer over the link in the OP, it gives you the word "acquaint".
I guess the NIV is not such a great translation. The same root (جذر) word (ס - כ - נ) is used in Psa. 139:3 and it translates it as "you are familiar".From the bible gateway
